  • You are not required to use Shirley's 2 Girls stamps, but if you have them, we'd love for you to use them.
  • Upload your card to your blog and/or favorite online gallery.  Please use keywords S2GSC4 AND shirleys2girls.
  • Post a direct link to your card using Mr. Linky on Karolyn's Blog.  Or you can click on the Twisted Thursday sign in my sidebar.  It will link you directly to Karolyn's blog.
  • The deadline for submitting your card is Sunday, March 29, 2009 at midnight PDT.
  • The winner of our challenge will be chosen by Random.org, so everyone has a chance to win.  The winner will get to choose a stamp from the Shirley's 2 Girls product line, and the winning card will be showcased on Karolyn's blog as well as the Shirley's 2 Girls store blog.  How cool is that!!
Above is a sample I made using this fun sketch.  I used  Shirley's 2 Girls Cat on Pillow image (SG604).  I gave my cat stripes and colored him with alcohol markers before covering my image with a Versamark Pen and embossing with clear embossing powder.  'My Twist' is the pierced, scalloped border at the bottom of the card.   For more inspiration, check out the fabulous samples made by the rest of the Ladies with Attitude DT.
So, what are you waiting for?!!  Get busy and create something.  Can't wait to see your creations and thanks for stopping by!

FS111 Hippity Hoppity

Beate is today's featured stamper on SCS.  She is one of my favorite paper crafters.  Beate's gallery is amazing and full of inspiration!!  If you have never tried the FS Challenge on SCS you really should give it a try.
Essentially, the challenge is to CASE a creation in the Featured Stamper's SCS gallery and change some of the elements to make the card your own.  Here is the card I CASED.  I kept the general design, but changed the colors and stamps.  I also used the same type of medallion shown on Beate's card.
Since Spring is finally here, I thought I would get a start on my Easter cards and used my new Hippity Hoppity set by Shirley's 2 Girls.  Isn't this bunny the cutest?!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you like my take on Beate's card.

I fenced in the little garden with my MS punch and used a Nestibilities die for my sentiment which I popped up with dimensionals.  This was a fun card to make.  Enjoy your weekend.  Hope it's warm and sunny!

CPS105 Rustic Rooster

I really wanted to try this week's CPS105 sketch.   So glad I was finally able to find some time to give it a try.
I used two techniques on my SU! Rustic Rooster image.  First, I scored my paper in a grid pattern to create a faux tile look.  After stamping and sponging my image, I finished up with the cracked glass technique.
I really had a hard time getting the cracked glass to show up in the photo.  Hope you can see it....believe me it's there.  Sorry the photo isn't the best.  Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamps - SU! Rustic Rooster; Paper - SU! & Making Memories DSP,  SU! not quite navy, riding hood red, PTI white; Ink - Versafine crimson red, VersaMark, SU! old olive, not quite navy, basic gray, and sahara sand for sponging;  Accessories - CB embossing folder, clear EP, Utee, Scor-Pal, Sizzix frames, stamp combo die, Rain Dots, SU! corner punch, Dazzling Diamonds, and foam tape.
