Sneak Peek!

Morning Everyone... I just couldn't wait to share a sneak peek of one of the new images that will be released on November 1 by KLM Digital Designs! What could be more perfect for Christmas -- quilts and snowmen, or in this case a Snowwoman! However today I wanted to showcase how versatile this image is and wanted to share a card I made for a friend using warm, rich colors. I teamed my image with one of my favorite 'quilt' sentiments from PTI.

I am not a quilter but am a big fan of anything quilted. I have many quilts displayed in our home. Some are old and some are new and I love them all. Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I first saw KLM's Quilted Snowwoman!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!

Supplies: Stamps - KLM Digital Designs -Quilted Snowwoman, PTI's Quilter's Sampler Sentiments; Paper - SU! soft suede, PTI select white, s.e.i and PTI designer papers; Accessories - Copic markers, Sizzix top note die; Nestabilities, yellow gemstones, white Souffle pen, small heart punch and SU! dazzling diamonds.

Be sure to check out Pilgrim Scott and other KLM digital stamps here. And mark your calendars... on November 1, KLM will be releasing their new holiday images!

Autumn's Glory

The changing leaves are beautiful this year. Tried to capture the view from our dining room this AM. Not the best photo since I didn't open the window and am not the best photographer... but I think you get the idea. HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!

CTD#64 Dasher

It's a rainy, cold Saturday here in Maryland. A perfect day to stay inside and play in my stamping space. I finally finished a card I started earlier in the week for the Color Throwdown Challenge #64 -- this week's colors are Baja Breeze, Black/Chocolate Chip, and Sahara Sand.
I also tried something different for the throwdown -- a watercolor wash background. (Be gentle; this is my first try at this technique!) I first saw this technique demonstrated by Beate. She has a marvelous video tutorial included on her blog, Fresh and Fun. If you are interested in viewing her tutorial... Go to her Blog and scroll down to her post of October 13.
For my watercolor wash background I used Baja Breeze & Sahara Sand reinkers. I stamped my Dasher image directly on the background, then embossed with copper EP. I also combined a strip of the WCW background with my sentiment. The only embellishments are various sizes of black epoxy dots.
Thanks for taking a peek. Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!
Supplies: Stamps - Dasher by SU!; Sentiment from the Believe set by PTI; Paper - sahara sand card base, PTI select white, SU! basic black, watercolor paper; Ink - baja breeze, sahara sand reinkers, Versafine onyx black; Accessories - Nestabilities dies, clear EP as well as copper EP, black epoxy dots by Recollections.

All DP, buttons and the chipboard flower are from the Chloe's Closet Collection by Making Memories.

I don't know about you, but I am very behind on making this year's Christmas cards... So I was very glad to ink up my new Dasher stamp. S2G Blog Candy Alert!

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I want to share my latest Halloween creation ... I needed a sign to display by our front door alerting Trick-or-Treaters that we are participating in our building's Halloween festivities. I don't think I could have found a more perfect image for my main panel. I used the S2G image from the S2G Boo Invite set (SG908). This set also comes with 4 sentiments. However, for my sign I added a computer-generated heading.
Shirley's 2 Girls have a wide selection of Halloween stamps, digital images and papers. You can check them out HERE. You won't be disappointed!
Don't think there could be a better time than Halloween for offering some blog candy! As a way of showing my gratitude for the support and encouargement I have received from my blogging friends, I am 'treating' one lucky person to the 4 S2G stamp sets shown below:
  • To win these 4 sets, just leave a comment, including your contact information, on this post.
  • Deadline for entering to win my S2G Blog Candy is 10 PM (EDT), Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

Hope you have a wonderful week. And thank you so much for everything!

I love pie!

Happy Fall! Well, it's almost pie baking time... I love pie and am loving this new Pilgrim Penny image from KLM Digital Designs. I almost flipped when I saw her! Isn't she the cutest? And such a perfect image for decorating my Thanksgiving cards this year. I don't know about you, but it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a piece of homemade pumpkin pie... YUM!
For my card, Penny was colored with my Copics, and the edges of the white panels and card base were sponged with Antique Linen distress ink. I layered my panels with SU! Not Quite Navy cardstock. My designer papers are from the Recollections Autumn Collection. My only embelllishments are 3 altered shell buttons popped up with dimensionals.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to stop back on Sunday... I won't have pie, but I will be offering some blog candy!

My sample includes a small metal 'friend' tag that I incorporated into my design by placing it over the word, friendship. Other embellishments include a Jolee sunflower and Mark Richards nail heads. KLM Digital Designs - Apple Picking Adam

Happy Sunday, everyone! Today's a beautiful Fall day here in Maryland with blue skies, a slight breeze and cool temps. Perfect apple picking weather, and a perfect day to share another new KLM digital image available from KLM Digital Designs.
This little guy with sentiment is called Apple Picking Adam. I colored him with my Copics and used my scallop oval Nestie die as a mask when sponging the background. What would we do without our Nestabilities! Although it's not visible in the photo, I used glassy accents on the apples, as well as MS baker's cord, and fancy corner punch to embellishment my card.
Supplies: Digital Stamps - Apple Picking Adam by KLM Digital Designs; Paper - All papers are by SU! except for my preferred PTI select white when working with Copics; Ink - Tim Holtz distress Ink in Antique Linen, Copic Markers; Accessories - Scallop Oval Nestie die, Ranger Glossy Accents, MS baker's cord, various punches by various manufacturers.
Many thanks for stopping by! Hope you are enjoying the beautiful Fall weather. Enjoy your week.
