SC 261 - Celebrate!

Hi All! Hard to believe this year is almost over... where did 2009 go? I want to wish everyone the best of everything in the New Year. Have a safe and very happy time if you are out and about celebrating tomorrow evening!
Today's card uses a sketch posted on SCS. Thanks for another great sketch, Roxie. I did tweak the sketch by turning it on its side so I could use my new love in the air set. I purchased this Unity set as well as some Copics from Photo Scraps in Eldersburg yesterday. Talk about lots of goodies and great customer service! What a great store... Tracy, the owner, even showed me how to change nibs and refill one of my Copics. They even have a Copic refill bar... now how cool is that? Fantastic I tell ya...
Well, it's time for me to get some sleep. Good night and thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamp Simply #118 -- CAS Snow

Morning All! This week's Stamp Simply challenge is to create a card that says snow -- anything wintery, snowy, icy, etc. I think my image of Raleigh's Tavern by Impression Obsession works perfectly for this week's challenge. I stamped my image on bashful blue cardstock and the 'snowy' areas were highlighted with a white prismacolor pencil.
Nesties were used to die cut and frame my image. I kept things pretty simple and only used ribbon and a corner punch to embellish my card.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamps - Raleigh's Tavern by Impression Obsession; Paper - baseful blue, brilliant blue and a generic white base; Ink - Versafine majestic blue; Accessories - clear EP, white prismacolor pencil, Nesties, ribbon from Mike's, MS corner punch.

Gift Card Holders

Here are two Border gift card holders I altered yesterday. Since the holders fit perfectly in 4.5" cards, I just taped them inside; decorated the card fronts; then tied them securely with ribbon. Not a fancy design but it sure was quick and easy to do!
Have a great day!!

FS 149 - Give me a 1, ...2, ...4

Congratulations go out to Pam124 for being chosen today's featured stamper on Splitcoast. Pam's gallery is amazing... It was hard to choose just one card to CASE.
Here is the link to the card I finally chose to CASE for the FS149 challenge.
For my card I used Pam's design, top note treatment, card shape and Christmas theme. I changed the main element from a punch to a stamped image. I also used different colors, DP and a sentiment from last year's SU! accent & elements set. And, of course, I had to use one of my new MS punch around the page sets. What fun!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamps - Just Beclause by SU!; Paper - SU! real red, soft suede, sahara sand, & DP; Ink - Versafine onyx black & Copics for coloring; MS PATP punches, clear EP, top note die, SU! accents and elements, Fun Flock, small buttons & Stampendous dots.

KLM - Gregory the Giftn' Turtle

Hi all! Here's an easy treat holder I made the other day. I used the cute KLM Digital Designs, Gregory the Giftn' Turtle, to decorate the front panel. This is such a versatile image. If you dress him up with some green & red coloring and holiday DP, he's all ready to celebrate Christmas. What fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fun week!

KLM Digital Designs - Holiday Candles

Well, winter is definitely here! I woke up to snow this AM, and it's been snowing ever since... Perfect cardmaking weather.
My card today uses a KLM Digital Designs image called Holiday Candles. I printed my image on a piece of s.e.i DP and then colored it with my Copics. Both Spica and a clear star GellyRoll pens were used to add some shimmer. Finishing touches include pearl 'holly berries', a rub-on sentiment and some punching of the background DP.
Have a wonderful evening and I really appreciate your stopping by!

All About Christmas

It's been all about Christmas in our household this past week... We finally started Christmas shopping, decorating, and, of course, working on Christmas cards. I need a week of 48-hour days before I catch up!
The cards I'm sharing today were inspired by my friend, Shelly. When I saw a card made with this image on Shelly's blog, Jaspere's Little Corner, I couldn't resist. I love paper piecing and this image is perfect for the technique. Thanks Shelly for the inspiration!
Have a great Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend!
Supplies: Digital Image - All About Christmas from the Cutting Cafe; Paper - various manufacturers; Accessories - star punch, Recollections poinsettia, various stick-on gems from my stash.
