Birthday Birdie


Good Morning, Everyone!  Today I would like to share a card I made with a new Doodle Pantry image called Birthday Birdie.  It is one of the new releases that  Laurie Wilson is adding to her store today.  I just love this sweet image. 


After coloring my image with Copics, I added a distressed look to the edges by sponging with distress inks and heat embossing with embossing powder.  I also added two coats of Utee to the entire panel... sorta cracked glass without the cracking.  I paired the birdie with an embossed panel of white core, textured cardstock.   Some simple sanding makes the embossing pop. Very easy and fun to do.

Supplies:  Stamps -- Birthday Birdie set by Doodle Pantry; Paper - SU! crumb cake, early espresso, sage shadow & a small piece of SU! DSP for the leaves, DCWV textured cardstock with a white core, PTI select white, generic white;  Ink - computer, so saffron, sage shadow Distress Inks in antique linen, marigold morning, and tea stain, Copics, and a black glaze pen for coloring the bird seeds; Accessories:  Clear EP, Utee, Cuttlebug EF, Spellbinder dies; SU! corduroy brad, SU! punch, dimensionals.
