Merry Christmas to You

Hi there!   Last week, Laurie, illustrator and owner of the Doodle Pantry, released some wonderful colored sets of  Winter Song Birdies.  Talk about Laurie coming to the rescue.... I needed  to make a card for my teenage nephew, and the pre-colored  "Merry Christmas to you" sentiment ( which is included with all the sets) was perfect!

This card was a snap to put together, and would be very easy to mass produce.  I kept things very simple and just used papers  from my scrap bin, some dies and 3 'Cloud 9' epoxy dots.  I just need to finish the inside pocket to hold a gift card, and I'm done.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges;
Sew Many Challenges #43 -- Red and Green
Paper Cutz Challenge #69 -- Anything Goes
Freshly Brewed Challenges (FBC24) -- Winter/Christmas Theme
Top Tip Tuesday Tip #12 -- Anything Goes

Enjoy the rest of the week and thanks so much for stopping by!

MMSC81 -- Tree Lane

Happy Tuesday, everyone.  Here's my card for the Midnight  Madness Sketch Challenge #81.  For my card today, I wanted to change things up a bit, so I went with a cozy, country Christmas look. I think this look works well with the tree image I used...  It's  from the Christmas Tree Set available from the "priscillastyles Store".  To go with the look, I incorporated some paper piecing into my design.  It's always fun to try something different, and I like how it turned out.  Hope you do too!

Crazy for Challenges C4C64 -- Add circles to your card or project
Our Daily Bread (ODBDSLC38) -- Create any holiday card
CCEE Stampers (CCEE1046) -- Use buttons on your card or project

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope everyone has a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!  Don't know about you, but I have to get a move on... lots of cleaning, errands and such to get ready for the holiday.

MMSC80 -- Christmas Bird

Hi everyone!  Here's my take on this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #80 (MMSC80).  I love this week's sketch; it was so easy to work with and came together just like I envisioned... don't you just love when that happens!  My image is one of my favorites from the "priscllastyles" Store; it's called Christmas Bird.  I added touches of glitter to the snow on the branches and used Spica pens to color the berries and bells.  The ribbon was highlighted with a Sakura clear star pen.  IRL, my card sparkles nicely.  Wish my photo picked up the glitter and shine.

I will be  entering this card in the following challenges:
Crazy4Challenges C4C63 -- Create a Christmas card or item.
Gingerloft Challenge 6 - Theme is the great outdoors... animals, trees, snowman... anything outdoor goes.
The Crafty Pad Challenge 97 -- Christmas Sparkle

Have a super day and thanks so much for stopping by!

MMSC79 Christmas Ornaments

Good Morning!  Sorry I've been MIA... dead computer which I had to replace and then had to wait for a data transfer.  Now I am playing catch up... installing everything, learning a new system, new software, and trying to get the hang of the new touch pad. But even with all the hassles, I am thrilled to be back online!

Glad I'm finally up and running, because today is release day at the "priscillastyles" Store, and I get to share a card I made with one of Priscilla's new images called Christmas Ornaments. I used Copic Markers and Spica Pens to color my images, and also added some highlights with a clear star pen -- what fun!

My card qualifies for the following challenges :
2010 Christmas Card Challenge #149 -- Inspiration Picture -- I was inspired by the Christmas tree with ornaments.
I Did It Creations Challenge #28 -- Holiday Color Mix Up -- I created a Christmas card using colors usually associated with Easter.
The Crazy Challenge (CCH#40) -- Things with Wings -- I included a bird ornament on my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hopefully by your next visit I will have mastered everything, and know what I'm doing!
