FS173 - Flowers

I had some time earlier today to play, so I participated in the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. Today's Featured Stamper is Scoppy (Beverly). Congratulations, Beverly! Beverly's style is fresh, clean and wonderful. Here is the card that inspired me.... I know I got carried away with embellishments, but I did follow her basic layout. I don't know why CAS is so hard for me. If I don't embellish or use some DP, my cards always look naked to me! Oh well, at least my intentions were good.
Oops, I just looked at the clock... Gotta get in the kitchen and start dinner. Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.
Supplies: Stamp - Anna Griffin; Paper - SU! Welcome Neighbor DSP, pumpkin pie, generic white base, melted crayon background; Ink - SU! whisper white Craft; Accessories - Clear EP, SU! flower fusion felt flowers, MS border punch, crayons for background, Recollections epoxy dots for flower centers.

DP - Snapdragons

Almost the weekend, and I can't wait. We have an evening wedding tomorrow night... Since the ceremony is planned to be outside, I need some good weather karma... pleasant temps, no rain or humidity. Let's hear it for no frizz and minimal wrinkles, too... Just so you know, I have a love/hate relationship with linen.
Congratulations and best wishes go out to my nephew, David, and his bride, Megan. Love you!
Today I am sharing a card made with the lovely Snapdragons image from Doodle Pantry. This was one of those cards than came together in a snap. Don't you just love when that happens. I colored my image with Copic markers; cut it out with a Nestabilities die; then, outlined my image with dazzling diamonds before adding a sentiment sticker and a few embellishments. See, I told you it was a snap to make!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting!
Supplies: Stamps - Snapdragons by Doodle Pantry; Paper - PTI dotted DP, GP white and pink from Walmart; Ink - Copic Markers for coloring; Accessories - PTI ribbon, Stampendous sentiment sticker, Spellbinders nestabilities die; dazzling diamonds, and 2 Jolee's by You embellishments.

Hi everyone! Just finished playing with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. What an easy sketch to work with... I think it took more time to decide on the embellishments than it did to make the card! I used 2 stamps from the KLM Designs set, Floral Sentiments, to stamp the background as well as the main panel.
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

KLM - Alex Bay Lighthouse

Hi folks, sorry I haven't posted lately. Don't know about you, but I find this time of year exceptionally busy. It feels like I'm doing about a hundred things at once and getting nothing done... I hate that feeling! So I decided to take a break and did some creating last night. Finishing a card and getting it uploaded to my blog always gives me a great feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Plus what could be more fun than playing with some new toys!
This KLM Designs image is called Alex Bay Lighthouse. And yes, there really is an Alex Bay Lighthouse... It's also known as 'Sunken Rock Lighthouse' because it marks a submerged rock formation just off Alexandria Bay, New York. You may want to take a peek at one of the many sites I found when I googled Alex Bay Lighthouse... click here.
What a great image to create masculine cards. I kept my design simple, but the card needed something... turns out my new Tim Holtz EF was the perfect solution. I'm please with how this turned out!
Have a great day and enjoy the upcoming weekend.
Supplies: Stamps - Alex Bay Lighthouse by KLM Designs, PTI - Father Knows Best sentiment; Paper - SU! Bermuda Bay, gray from my stash (manufacturer unknown), GP white; Ink - Versafine smokey gray, Copics and pencils with gamsol, Memento summer sky; Accessories - Spellbinder dies, Tim Holtz EF, dimensionals, jewelery spacers from Mike's.
