CDAC Heart Hop

Hi All!  Just a heads up  to let you know that the Group Heart Hop at the Crafter's Digital Art Center starts today at 11 AM (EST)and there is a free set of Doodle Pantry images that will be given to participants who finish the hop.  The set is called Heart Sheep.  Want a sneak peek?

The card below uses a pre-colored image from the set.  I combined this image with some matching Hearts A Flutter DSP that is available for purchase from the Doodle Pantry Store.  My image was printed directly on a  piece of  digital DSP from Stephanie Fizer 's Sheltering Tree set.

Sure hope you are able to hop along with us...  Many of the CDAC groups are participating, and the event should be a lot of fun.  If you are unable to take part in the hop, but would like to own this set, it will be available for purchase at the Doodle Pantry Store on February 5.

Don't know about you, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the ice and snow stay away.  Whatever the weather, have a great weekend!

Supplies:  Digital Stamps --  pre-colored image from Heart Sheep set by the Doodle Pantry; Paper --  Hearts A Flutter digital DSP by the Doodle Pantry, Stephanie Fizer Digital Papers-Sheltering Tree from MFT; SUI! riding hood red, PT soft stone, select white, and bitty dot basics, ; Ink -- computer, Copic Markers for highlighting, pastels; Accessories -- Sizzix swirl and leaf dies, Spellbinder heart dies, Flower Soft,  dazzling diamonds, flower from my stash, decorative edge trimmer.

DPBC6 -- Nutty for You

Good Morning.  Today is release day at the Doodle Pantry Store.  Laurie has just added some fabulous, new whimsical and realistic images to the Store.  You are going to love them!

In addition, today starts a new Doodle Pantry Challenge (DPBC6) on the Doodle Pantry Blog.  The theme for DPBC6  is Love.  To participate, just create a new card or project following the Love Theme.  (It can be anything that denotes love, such as wedding, anniversary, Valentine, etc.)   Also, you must use a digital image.  It does not have to be a Doodle Pantry image, but we would love to see them if you have them!  If you want, check out the Doodle Pantry Freebie Page.  As always, Laurie has some fabulous prizes up by grabs.  Just click HERE to go directly to the challenge to get the details and to link your card.

Here's my take on today's Doodle Pantry Challenge #6 (DPBC6):

To create my card, I used one of Laurie's new sets called Nutty for You.  Isn't it the cutest!  I printed my image twice and reversed one of the squirrels.  I colored my images with Copic Markers and dressed up my squirrels with an 'acorn' heart and some Flower Soft.  Now check out the designer series paper... it's digital and is one of three styles included with this set.  And if that is not enough, Laurie has also included both uncolored and pre-colored images.  Now how cool is that!  This was such a fun set to play with!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Sure hope you join us!

"priscillastyles" - Heart Wreath

Hi everyone!  I LOVE my new Valentine image from the "priscillastyles" Store.  It is called Heart Wreath and perfect for making a vintage-style Valentine for my hubby.  My starting point was the fabulous Midnight Madness Sketch (MMSC86).  I combined my new image with some of my favorite things as well as items that I have been hoarding in my stash.  This was one of those cards that went together like a dream once I played mix and match and gathered the elements I thought worked best together.  Don't you love when that happens?

My card combines the following challenges:
Stampin' B's Design Team Challenge #92 -- use an old favorite and something brand spanking new (Buttons have always been my favorite embellishment.  My Heart Wreath image is brand spankin' new.)

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit.  Enjoy your day!

Birdie Critter Top

Happy Weekend, everyone!  Today the Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the CES challenge #18 -- the theme is "all creatures great and small".  Now how could I resist playing along  since my new DP birdie image could not be more perfect for the theme.  I actually combined two Doodle Pantry sets.  The birdie is one of Laurie's new pre-colored Critter Tops, and the sentiment is from the Caterpillar Hug set.

I am also going to be entering this card is the following fun challenges:
Sentimental Sundays Challenge #36 -- Celebrate Friendship
Paper Playtime Challenge #32 -- Use faces on your project
Paper Sundaes Challenge #50 -- Something New  (I used two new things -- my image and crinkled ribbon.)
Cute Card Thursday Challenge #146 -- Out with the old ( Finally used up some retired SU! DSP that I have had for ages.)
HSS Winter Blues Color Splash Challenge #49 -- Celebrate the color blue.

So glad you were able to stop by today.  Thanks so much for your support!
