Good Morning, today the Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.  This week the challenge is a sketch,  and I am excited to share my take using the fun Caterpillar Swing set.  My image was colored with Copics.  I merged my sentiment onto a simple banner that I created in Word; cut it out; then sponged the edges before attaching to the top of my image with dimensionals.  What fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Snowman Cheer

Happy weekend, everyone!  Well, I switched gears and created my first Christmas card for 2011.  I was inspired by the savvy card makers that create Christmas cards year round.  Rather than wait until the last minute crunch (Something I did last year and don't want to repeat.), my intentions are to create a card a week for my stash of holiday cards.

My image is a new one (for me) from the Clear Dollar Store called Snowman Cheer.  I love snowman images and when I saw this one I couldn't resist.  I used the pre-colored image that comes with this set as well as the matching paper.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
CCEE Stampers (CCEE1112) -- Create a Christmas/Winter holiday card.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and many thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Supplies:  Digital Stamps -- Snowman Cheer Set/Clear Dollars Stamps, sentiment/Doodle Pantry; Paper - SU! whisper white, real red, brilliant blue, dsp -- blue plaid from Snowman Cheer Set.generic white base; Ink - computer, SU1 bashful blue for shading; Accessories -- Sizzix snowflake embossing folder, Fun Flock, glitter, MS flocked ric rak, Spellbinders dies; Marvy snowflake punch, epoxy dots from my stash.

MMSC96 -- Potted Flowers

Hi everyone,  It's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC96), and my take on this week's sketch. The 'Potted Flowers" image is by "priscillastyles" Store.  It's new and perfect for spring.  I also think it works well with the sketch.

My image as well as the tiny pearls on the potted flowers were colored with Copics to match my monochromatic color scheme.  I used a Marvy punch to make the large flower, two different Sizzix dies to die cut the leaves, and finished them with store-bought pearl embellishments.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Charisma Cardz Challenge #11 -- Use die cuts on your project.
The Rubber Cafe Challenge #9 (TRCC#9) -- Monochromatic Color

Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Flower Trio

Good Morning and TGIF!  This spring image is called Flower Trio and was created by "priscillastyles" for the CDAC freebie challenge.  When I saw this image, my first thought was inchies... Something I haven't played with in a long time.

First, I printed the Flower Trio image twice.  I used one of the images to cut apart the flowers and mount on black inchie board ; I then mounted the inchies on the second copy of my image.  Copics were used for coloring.  IRL, you can see the added dimension. Besides the flowers, embellishments include pearls, Flower Soft and homemade crinkle ribbon.

This card combines 3 challenges on CDAC
Freebie Digi Challenge (cdacfdc19) -- I used one of the free digis available for the challenge.
Color Challenge (cdaccc19) -- Use shades of purple, lilac and pink.
Embellish Challenge (cdacec19) -- Use 2 or more flowers on your creation.

I hope you have a great weekend.  Thanks so much for visiting and Happy Crafting!

Easter Egg Sheep

Happy Thursday, everyone.  It's a miserable rainy day here, but a much better alternative than ice and snow!  My card today uses the sweet Easter Egg Sheep Color Set.   This time I used the sweet pre-colored sheep.  Isn't it the cutest?  This set has the most darling images, sentiments, and designer papers.  It is one of the new releases from the Doodle Pantry and comes in both pre-colored and uncolored versions.

Well, I can't put it off any longer... I need to start getting the paperwork organized so I can get the taxes started.  Something I hate more than going to the dentist.  Hope you have a great day and the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!

Easter Blossoms

Hi all!  Just a quick post today, as I'm heading out to the lab for some blood work.  I made this card for the Clean and Simple Guest Designer Challenge on Splitcoast-- use a silhouette stamp.  My image and DSP are MDS -- Easter Blossoms and Springtime Vintage paper.  Since I do not have the My Digital Studio software by SU!, I merged the image and DSP in Word. I also used Word to format and change the color of my image.

It doesn't  get easier than this -- quick, clean and simple; and I am thrilled with the results.

Enjoy your day and thanks so much for stopping by!

MMSC94 -- Bird Cluster

Good Morning!  Here's my take on today's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #94 (MMSC94).  Since I can't wait for Spring, I thought I'd jumpstart the season with something soft and springy.    Besides the gorgeous weather, the return of all the birds and flowers are among my favorite things of the season...so I tried to incorporate both into my design.

My image is a new one from the "priscillastyle" Store.  It has just the look I wanted for this card.  Coloring was done with Copics, and I heat embossed the birdies with clear embossing powder.  I embellished my card with the help of punches and dies; finishing touches include pearls and a big flower.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
Stamp Something -- March Digi Day  -- Use something digi ( All pattern papers as well as my image are digital.)
Crafty Purple Frog Challenge -- Things with Wings
Delightful Challenges -- Welcome Spring

Supplies:  Stamps -- Bird Cluster by "priscillastyles" Store; Paper -- SU! digital designer series papers, PTI select white, generic white base; Ink -- computer, Copic Markers for coloring, VersaMark pen; Accessories -- clear EP, SU! top note die, Sizzix branch w/leaves die, MS leaves and bird punches, pearls and flower from my stash.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Bunny Basket

I've been having so much fun with the new Easter Egg Sheep Color set from the Doodle Pantry, and couldn't wait to share another card using this new set.  Even the cute Easter Egg Background Paper is included with this set.

For this card I merged the basket  (included with the Easter Egg Sheep Color set) with a bunny Critter Top Color also from the Doodle Pantry.  After a bit of sponging and paper piecing, this card came together is a snap.  I am thrilled to have another Easter card ready for my stash.
