Beaver Hello 2

Happy Thursday!  Just a quick post today before heading out to get groceries and my hair cut.  My card today uses 'leftover' bits and pieces  that were sitting on my desk.  The image is from the sweet  Beaver Hello Color Plus set by Doodle Pantry.  I altered the image to include a pinwheel and added some ribbon and embossing to the base.  Although this design is very similar to a recent post using the same set, I am thrilled to actually use some of my scraps from various projects rather than adding them to my bulging scrap bin.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  Thanks so much for stoping by!

MMSC114 -- Dress Stand

Good Morning, Will somebody please lower the heat and humidity!  There have been record breaking temperatures in many parts of the US, and I can't wait for this miserable heat wave to break.  Don't get me wrong, I love summer; but when the heat index rises to 115 degrees, I turn into a lump and don't feel like doing much of anything.

On the bright side, I did spend some time in my craft space and have a card to share using this week's Midnight Madness Sketch 114 (MMSC114).  My digital image is by "priscillastyles" called, Dress Stand.  It's one of my favorites and is very versatile.   I also used this image to create the small postage stamp that I used to embellish my card.

I used this digi for the very first time, many moons ago, to create my very first "priscillastyles" card.  You can view the original card HERE.  This time, I went with a CAS 'shabby chic' look and changed the colors.  Background paper is from Sweet Stitches DSP by Stampin' Up's MDS.  I also added some punched flowers, one of my favorite embellishments.

Challenges:
Priscillastyles 900 Celebration Challenge on CDAC -- CASE the very first card you made with a "priscillastyles' image.
Come and Get It Challenges -- Make your own flowers.
2 Sisters Challenge 49 -- Anything Goes
Paper Cutz Challenge #101 -- Anything Goes
Stamp Something Challenge -- Something Embellished

Have a great day, stay cool, and thanks for stopping by!

DPSTP04 -- Winter Wishes

Good Morning, it's time for a new Doodle Pantry Stock the Pantry Challenge (DPSTP04).  So head on over to the Doodle Pantry Blog  and join in the fun.  It's easy to play -- just create a card or project using a Doodle Pantry image -- for a chance to be 1 of 3 winners who will receive one free Doodle Pantry product of their choice valued at $3 or less.

Now about my card, I made a square Joy Fold Card with a flap on top.  I followed a great SCS tutorial by Beate Johns which you can find here.  I used the Doodle Pantry Winter Wishes set for some Christmas in July.  The image was colored with Copics.  The 'snowy' areas were coated with glitter,  and I used some sparkly  DSP by My Mind's Eye.  IRL, there's lots of shine and sparkle.

Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C96 -- Joy Fold Card
The Crazy Challenge (CCH#76) -- Christmas in July
Christmas Inspirations Challenge 29 -- Free Christmas Project (anything goes)

Hope everyone has a great day.  Can't wait to see your projects -- Happy Crafting!

A Little Hello

Hi All!  Today I have a 'little hello' from the Doodle Pantry using the recently released set called Beaver Hello COLOR Plus.  This set comes with both colored and outline images.  For this card I used the pre-colored  beaver and one of the digi papers included with this set.  Since I also wanted to include a pinwheel in my design, I drew a line extending from the beaver's hand (this was done on the computer in a Word Document).  Then I added my pinwheel (made with punches) on top.  The green dotted paper is also digital and is from another Doodle Pantry set called Balloon Ants COLOR Plus.  I really had fun with this one.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cut Dreans Challenge #94  -- Animal Antics ( animals must have 4 legs)
Happileigh Scrappin' Challenge (HLSC31) -- Make your own embellishment (pinwheel made with a punch)

I really appreciate your stopping by!  Thanks so much and enjoy the rest of your day!!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Weekend, everyone!  It'a a beautiful summer day here in Maryland.  Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods, too.

I have a quick post today which uses some bits and pieces that were sitting on my desk.  The heart wreath image is by "priscillastyles", and it's a favorite of mine for weddings and anniversaries (not just Valentine's Day)!  I love when images can do double duty.

Well, I'm off to enjoy the beautiful day.  Hope everyone has a great day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

MMSC112 -- Summer Time Fish

Hi everyone, It's time for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC112), which I combined with a Summertime theme.  I used the new "priscillastyles" image called Summer Time Fish.  Isn't it the cutest!

When I first saw this image an idea popped into my head, and I am thrilled that I was able to get it to come out on paper.  After coloring my image with Copics, I layered on some liquid glass.  For texture, I added some "faux" sand -- just some salt colored with reinkers.  The "water" is Doodle Pantry digi paper from the Little Lighthouse set.  After embossing the card's base and cutting out my layers with the help of dies, it was just a matter of assembling the card and adding some Jolee 's embellishments.  Gosh this was fun to make!

There are some wonderful challenges this week, and I will be entering this card in the following:

Stampin' B's Challenge #118 -- Beach Scene; must include sand.
Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C95) -- Make a summer themed card.
2 Sisters Challenge 47 -- Summer Time Fun

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.  Happy Crafting!

Decadent Desserts

Happy Saturday, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Today was  designated 'clean craft room day', and I did clear a space on my desk.... but then I found this image and it was begging me to play.  So how could I resist?  This fun image and sentiment are from the Decandent Desserts set by Doodle Pantry.  I  paired the yummy image with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The image was colored with Copics and a red Spica pen.  I also layered on some liquid glass.   The embossed background was colored with various chalks and embellished with some tiny rhinestones.  Talk about quick and easy!

This set always makes me smile and reminds of some fun childhood memories.  When I was growing up, we did not have air conditioning.  So on hot steamy nights, my dad would take us for a drive to cool off, and we would stop at "Price's Dairy" for the best  milkshakes ever!  -- They were so thick  you could hardly suck them through a straw.  Thanks Laurie, for the fun memories your sweet image evoked!

So glad you stopped by today!  Thanks so much!

Good Morning!. Today's the big day...  Laurie has stocked the Doodle Pantry with the new July releases, and I am thrilled to be able to showcase one of the new sets  -- Wild Rose.   This set includes floral images and lovely sentiments.  For my sample, I colored the images with Copic markers and filled the center of the roses with Flower Soft.  This versatile set is perfect for creating cards for all types of occasions.

Berry Pie

Hi everyone. We had a fun time at the beach, but it's also good to be home and back to crafting.  I used the very sweet Berry Pie set from Doodle Pantry to create today's card.  This set includes both pre-colored and outline images of the berry pie, a 'yummy' sentiment,  as well as some awesome digital papers making this card a breeze to put together.  Inspiration for my card came from some wonderful challenges.  Below is a list of the challenges that I will be entering:

Paper Playtime Challenge #49 -- Digi Monday using red, white and blue
Clearly Inspired Challenge #31 (CIC31) -- punches, dies, cut outs
Inspire Me Fridays #13 -- Linky Party

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend.  Enjoy!
