Thanks, Gloria!

Gloria Shirr (purpleglo) has awarded me the Liebster Blog Award.  Thank you so, so much!.  Please click here to visit Gloria's blog.

ABOUT THE AWARD:
The Leibster Blog award is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers) and to help spread joy to fellow bloggers.
"Leibster"  comes from the German word meaning 'dearest ' or 'beloved' but can also mean 'Favorite'.  This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers.  The origins of this award is unclear, but it is believed to have originated by a German blogger.  This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

I will be passing this award to 5 very talented bloggers:

Chelle  -- Life in Focus
Dawn --  stamp-n-play

Georgia  --  Paper Possibilities -- Toadily Handmade
Glenda --  Gilby's Corner
Kathy and Lucky -- Lucky Stamper

I hope you stop by and check out these wonderful blogs.  You won't be disappointed!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Saturday!  This is the first time I have stamped with rubbber in ages.  I used a cute Penny Black stamp which I colored with Irojiten colored pencils. After cutting out the image, I adhered it to the scallop circle with dimensionals.  This is my first try using two (new to me) colored pencil techniques -- scrumbling and the strike stroke.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Pile It On Challenge #31 -- Cute as Can Be!
Kaboodle Doodles Challenge #130 -- Birthday or any Special Day

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Holly Stag

Happy August, everyone!  Today is release day at Doodle Pantry, and I am thrilled  to share the cards I made showcasing the new Holly Stag set.  This set has everything you need for easy Christmas crafting -- colored and outline images; digital papers and sentiments; as well as a bonus PDF file that contains 4 pre-designed card fronts and 2 gift tags!

For the card pictured above, I used the outline image which I colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  I also added some shading with Copics.  Although it is hard to see in the photo, I added lots of glitter to the stag and holly leaves.  Besides all the glitter, finishing touches include ribbon, red rhinestones, and the Spirelli Technique

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge 51-- Kraft at Christmas (use kraft paper)
Hiding in my Craft Room #56 -- Christmas in July
Sweet Stampin' Challenge -- Christmas in July
Crafty Cat Challenge 143 -- All that Glitters

Next, I used one of the pre-designed card fronts from the bonus Holly Stag PDF file.  This card literally only took minutes to make.

I just added some layering and a strip of red cardstock with a brad to make it my own.  Definitely will be making more of these... I think I may even be able to get my holiday cards mailed early this year!

So glad you were able to stop by... Have a  wonderful day and thanks for visiting.
