Happy Thanksgiving and a New Release

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday and weekend.  Above is a quick and easy card using images, a sentiment and digi paper from Doodle Pantry's Eat More Ham set  (prev. sold by CDS).   After grouping the pre-colored turkey and leaves in a Microsoft Word document, I inserted a callout shape and merged the sentiment on top. After printing the image and assembling the card, I just added some punched leaves and a SU! embellishment and this fun card was ready to mail.

Today, Doodle Pantry is releasing their new December images as well as having a huge sale -- 40% off products (excluding bundled products and fundraiser sets).  This offer runs through December 3rd.  Click HERE to get the code for the sale and to see the other December specials.

Next, is a preview of the new December set, Critter Fun:

I used Critter Fun colored images without backgrounds to create a set of ornaments for one of our newest family members:

To dress these darling images for Christmas, I just merged the following elements from these Doodle Pantry sets:

Merged the Christmas Tree from Bitty Christmas behind the Cow.
The Santa hat and gift from Santa Accessories Color plus were merged in front of the Pig.
Cropped then merged two poinsettias from Holiday Nutcrackers in front of the Bear.
A cropped holly sprig and gift from Santa Accessories Color plus were merged in front of the Squirrel.
A scarf from Winter Accessories Color Plus as well as a holly sprig from Holly Wreath were merged in front of the Frog.
The wreath from Holly Wreath was merged behind the Horse.

In case you are wondering how I assembled the ornaments... I die cut the images and adhered them to die cut ornament shapes. Embellishments include lots of glitter and glaze, die cut bows and rhinestones. An ornament hook was glued and sandwiched between the front of the ornament, and backed with another die cut ornament shape to cover the hook and hold it in place. I sure hope little Ben has fun hanging these fun-to-make ornaments on the tree!

Thanks so much for stopping by and bearing with my long-winded post . Enjoy your day!

Missing You and With Heart

Happy Sunday!  Just a quick post today to share 2 more animal cards I made with images from Doodle Pantry's  OWH Fundraiser Bundle.  I swear these images are addictive; and such a bargain as they are just priced at $5 for a limited time (11/10 thru 11/30)  -- during which time, 70% of each sale will be donated to Operation Write Home!

For the  first card I used the cute seal image which I paper-pieced with matching paper from the sets.  I merged the Miss You sentiment on top of the heart; then added some die-cut waves.

Next up is the sweet elephant .  Again, I did some paper piecing... This time I used matching paper to just piece the ears and feet.  To ground the image, I merged an oval shape behind the image and filled it in with color.  The sentiment I used is from Doodle Pantry's set, Rounded Wishes, which is free with purchase.  Don't forget to add it to your cart!

Hope you have a great day.  Thanks for your visit!!

Christmas Cat with Gift Card

Hi everyone.  My card today is actually a Christmas gift card holder which I made with the help of a Library Pocket Die from Taylored Expressions. Instead of enclosing the gift card on the inside of the card, I decided to decorate the holder, and let it take center stage on the card's front.

Now about the Doodle Pantry images I used to decorated the gift card holder.... I merged 3 different DP sets in a Microsoft Word document to create my ' Christmas cat'.  The Doodle Pantry sets I used are:

The outline cat from With Heart, which is part of a special OWH Fundraiser Bundle.
The precolored Santa Hat and Gift are from Santa Accessories Color Plus, and were merged in front of the cat.
The sentiment is from the former CDS set, Cake and Cookie, recently re-released by Doodle Pantry.
(I also used a holly spring from an older CDS set to embellish the Santa Hat.)

After printing the image, I just had to color the cat  with Copics and the image was ready to die cut and adhere to the top of the holder with dimensionals.  Talk about easy peasy!

FYI, the special Operation Write Home Fundraiser Bundle (which combines 2 sets -- Miss You and With Heart) has been marked at a bargain price of only $5 from Nov 11 thru Nov 30, and Doodle Pantry will be donating 70% of the profits from each sale to OWH.  Here's a preview of everything the bundle includes:

I would like to enter my card in the following fun challenges:
Artistic Inspiration Challenge #67 -- Use a Sentiment/Anything Goes
Digi Sketch Challenge -- All for the animals

Sure hope you have a great day.  Many thanks for stopping by!

Coffee & Biscotti

Happy November!  A new release has been added to the Doodle Pantry store, and I am happy to share a card made with  the new Coffee & Biscotti set.  Nothing like a cup of coffee with a biscotti to jump start a Monday or any day for that matter.

This new set comes with both colored and outline images as well as matching digital papers and sentiments.  I started with an outline coffee mug image which I paper-pieced digitally with one of the dig papers from the set.  Then I merged  one of the biscotti images in front of the coffee mug before adding the sentiment.     This was a fun and easy card to make and perfect for enclosing a Starbucks gift card which I am going to slip into our son's Christmas stocking.

I will be entering this card in the following inspiring challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge #186 -- Tic Tac Toe (digi paper, digi image, sentiment)
Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge 25 -- Anything Goes + option use kraft paper
Just Inspirational Challenge -- Photo Inspiration - Kraft

Thanks so very much for stopping by; and have a great day!
