Carousel Zebra

Hi everyone!  We are back from our mini vacation; and after playing catch up, I finally had some time to craft.  Today I have a card to share, using Doodle Pantry's Carousel Zebra.  First, I created a snow globe by inserting 2 different shapes in a Word document.  After formatting the shapes and merging them together, I pasted the zebra image in the same document and positioned the image "in front" of the snow globe.  The base of the globe was paper pieced with the black stripe digi paper that comes with this set .  I also fussy cut an extra copy of the zebra image and attached it with dimensionals for some extra depth.

Both the image and mat were cut out with with Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mat dies.  Embellishments include a sheer black dotted bow with a fancy brad as well as various sizes of pearls and red rhinestones.  (Sorry the small pearls and rhinestones are barely visible in the photo.)

I will be entering my card in the following fun challenges:
Crafty Girls Challenge 21 -- Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons Challenge 95 -- Stitching Real or Fake plus Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Joyful Day

Morning Everyone!  Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches 254.  For my take on the sketch, I turned the sketch on its side and trimmed the bottom of the card's front before adding a scallop border to the edge.  The strip of white showing on the bottom is actually the inside the of the card.

The images, sentiment, and pink digi paper are from Doodle Pantry's Joyful Day set.  These elements were merged and grouped in a Word Document.  After printing, the grouped image was die cut with a Spellbinders oval die and framed with die cuts made with the help of an oval scallop and floral oval dies by Spellbinders.  Finishing touches include some Spirelli string art, leaves made with a Sizzix die and a MS punch, as well as a bow with rhinestone embellishment.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Cards Galore June Challenge -- Us a stamp or digi or your project
Dragonflies Dreams Challenge 6 -- Anything With Wings
The Crafting Cafe June Challenge -- Love and Marriage
Open-Minded Crafting Challenge #12 -- Something with Wings
Make My Monday Challenge -- Color Theme - Pretty in Pink

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sweet Summer

Hi everyone.  Today I have a card to share using this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday-2 16.  I merged images from 2 different Doodle Pantry  sets -- Mini Summer Trio and Flip Flops.  The bucket and shovel are pre-colored; and I grouped them with the outline flip flops after paper-piecing the insoles with matching paper from the Mini Summer Trio set.  I used the same paper for the panels in the sketch and also added a sentiment from Mini Summer Trio.  Now all I need is a trip to the beach for some summer fun!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Time Out Challenge #7 -- Summer with the optional twist of Flowers
Crafty Creations Challenge #264 -- It is all about "S" (I used a summer theme including a "shovel" image.)
Scrapper's Delight Challenge #24 -- Anything Goes with a twist - Layer it Up

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your day and hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Turning Fifty

Hi All!  Instead of throwing some scraps in my overflowing scrap bin, I used them to create a quick birthday card.  I combined the papers with a fun MDS/SU! Giggle Greetings image w/sentiment.  After paper-piecing the cat digitally and adding additional coloring and shading with Copic Markers and chalk, I just had to add a few embellishments, and this card was ready to give to my cousin who just turned fifty.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Bloggers June Challenge -- Bingo (I used Column A)
Digi Makeover Challenge #143 -- Anything Goes (must use a digi)
Digi Sketch Challenge 26th of May - Use a Stamp and/or Sketch
Shopping Our Stash, SOS#154 -- Critters (pet or animal theme)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!!

Smooth Sailing

Wishing everyone a Happy June!  This month's Doodle Pantry release has some wonderful summer sets, including ones that are perfect for creating patriotic and masculine projects.  All sets in this June release are 25% off from June 1 thru June 4 only.

Today, I have a Father's Day card to share using an image from the Smooth Sailing & Map set.  The starting point of my design was inspired by a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday created in 2013.  The focal point is the wonderful sailboat from Smooth Sailing... I used the outline image from the set which I paper-pieced and colored with the help of Photoshop.  Other Doodle Pantry sets used were digi papers from the Bold Summer Digital Paper Pack and Grunge Wood Mini Digi Paper 4 Pack.  The sentiment is from another set from this month's release, Gone Fishing.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge (PWC312) -- Father's Day/Masculine Cards
Polkadoodles Challenge Wk 22 -- Men on our Minds (create anything for the men/boys in our life)
Simply Create Too -- Father's Day (or for a male)
4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #196 -- Crazy Egg (anything goes)
Delightful Weekly Challenge May 28 -- It a Guy Thing (masculine cards)
Allsorts Week 261 -- For the Guys

A new Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #47 starts today at noon and ends on June 24.  For this month's challenge, Laurie has changed things up a bit -- this month the challenge theme is Make it Manly.  You may use any company's DIGITAl image. No featured digi this month; instead there will be 3 randomly selected winners, chosen from all participants, who will receive  coupons to the Doodle Pantry store.   Challenge details can be found on the Doodle Pantry Challenge Blog.  Sure hope you join in the fun!

Have a great day and thanks so much for your visit!
