Love You

Happy Sunday!  Gosh it's hard to believe November is almost here.  Just a quick post today since I have to finish getting my Halloween cards ready for the mail and get a stew simmering on the stove.

Today's card is one I made for the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge TT102314 -- Anything Goes.  I used papers and a sentiment from MDS by Stamping' Up, and added a die cut border.  The sentiment was die cut, layered, and adhered to the border with embellishments.  Just had to add some rhinestone embellishments and this CAS card was done quick as a wink!

Thanks so much for stopping by; have a wonderful week!

Vintage Camera

Hi All!  Today's card is my take on Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2-32.  The image is a beauty from Doodle Pantry called Vintage Camera.  I used the colored image and one of the sentiment that comes with the set.  DSP is from Stampin' Up.

I will also be entering my card in the following challenges:

Hope everyone has a great weekend and many thanks for stopping by!

Apple Market

Morning everyone.  Here's my card for October's From the Heart Stamps Free Stamp of the Month Challenge.  The image this month is the adorable Apple Market.  If you play along, you will get next month's set for free!

Before coloring the Apple Market image with Copics and shading the background with pastels, I added some digital paper piecing to the banner as well as the bushel.  The sentiment is also from the same set.

I will also be entering my card in the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts Challenge #44 -- Autumn Abundance
Crafty Sentiments Designs -- Use a Sentiment
Love to Create Challenge #138 -- Anything Goes/ Fall Colors
The Crazy Challenge CCH #182 -- Autumn Gatherings

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please excuse if the card's colors seem garish.  I made the mistake of adding a new update to my new computer and now iPhoto and Word are having all kind of quirks.  Grrr...

Happy Holidays

Happy Friday, everyone.  I guess you could say this post is a test as it's the first post using my new computer.  Boy, things have changed since my last Mac...Took me half a day to figure out how to add scroll bars! Wanted to see how my photos would be uploaded and formatted using the new iPhoto software.  Looks like I may have to do some tweaking to the Blogger or iPhoto settings.

This card is one I made when I was w/o a computer.  I had printed off some digis on my old computer before it crashed due to a failed logic/video board.  The image I used is from a SU!/MDS set called Mingle All the Way.  I did some paper piecing and embellished with tiny pearls.  IRL, I really like how it looks, and will be mass producing it for Christmas.  Just have to change up the pearls with something flatter to make the design postage-friendly.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by.

Vintage Ornaments

Yep, hard to believe that this is my second post of the day.  With all the computer craziness I've been having, I am thrilled to report my computer cooperated and I was able to load some photos to my computer w/o crashing.  It's the weirdest thing... Everything seems to be working fine, then the computer dies on me; and sometimes it  won't reboot.  I have an appointment with the Apple Store scheduled; hopefully they will be able to sort out the problem... Since the computer is old and the software is outdated,  I think  a new computer is in my future...

My card today uses one of my favorite Christmas sets from Doodle Pantry.  It is called Vintage Christmas and comes in outline and a variety of colored images.  I grouped three of the colored ornaments together and paired them with a sentiment from Holiday Greetings.  Then, I printed the image off twice and fussy cut the bows and tops of the ornaments and added them to the base with foam dots for extra dimension.

I will entering this card in the following challenges:
The Alphabet Challenge -- R for Round or Rectangles (I used round sequins and rectangular shapes/die cuts.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend and go Orioles!

Simply Create Too Challenge #72

Good Morning, everyone!  Just a heads up to let you know that a new challenge starts today at Simply Create Too.  The theme for Challenge #72 is Halloween/Or Use Orange.  With Halloween just around the corner, we hope you join in the fun and share your Halloween creations with us.

For my card, I used Bugaboo Stamps' Halloween Silhouette Scene which I layered on top of digital paper from SU!/MDS Watercolor Wonder DSP.  I also colored the house with warm gray Copics although the coloring is barely visible in the photo.  Since this is a large image, I keep the design simple; used lots of orange; and the only embellishments are a black dotted ribbon with a dotted flower.

I will also be entering my card in Bugaboos's Catch the Bug October Challenge -- Anything Goes.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Doodle Pantry Release

Morning everyone and a Happy October!  Sorry I haven't been around...  Having some computer issues that have been going on for 3-4 days.  Between bouts of my computer shutting down on me, I was able to get a few photos taken and downloaded in time for today's Doodle Pantry release. Today I am thrilled to share the cards showcasing two of the new sets.

My first card showcases Christmas Eve Ants.  Yep, those ants are at it again... don't you just love them sleeping in their walnut bed!  I used the outline ant image and did some digital paper piecing with digi papers from the same set. I also used Copics, colored pencils and pastels to color up the image.

For my next card,  I used the fun set called Holiday Patterns.   I combined one of the sentiments and a pre-colored holly sprig from the set to create the paper insert for the typewriter die cut.  After threading the paper through the typewriter, I used dimensionals to mount thee typewriter on top of the other die cut shapes.  This was a fun holiday card to make and will be easy to mass produce, too.

Also, a heads up.... All the new sets in October's Doodle Pantry release have been pre-reduced 25% with no coupon needed!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!
