Simply Create Too Challenge 78 -- Valentine's Day or Use Hearts

Morning Everyone!  Just a heads up to let you know that a new challenge starts today on Simple Create Too and runs through February 12. The challenge theme is Valentine's Day or Use Hearts.  Hope you join in the fun and share your Valentine creations with us.

For my card, I used one of Bugaboo's fun Stella images from the set, Stupid Cupid.  Every notice how stupid rhymes with Cupid?... Yep, that's the sentiment that comes with the set; and I couldn't resist including it on the inside of the card.

Hope this card brings some smiles.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Little Girl Valentines

Morning everyone!  Today, Doodle Pantry has released some new sets, and my card showcases the new Little Girl Valentines set, which is Free with Purchase, today ONLY,  January 27.

This set includes both outline and colored images.  For my design,  I merged two of the colored images (the dinosaur and crown), and inserted them in a heart shape backed with MDS digi paper.  By using colored images and a simple layout, this card was a snap to put together.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
One Stitch At A Time Challenge #229 -- Anything Goes with the Color Purple
That Craft Place -- Love/Valentine

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope everyone experiencing the blizzard on the East Coast are safe and warm.

Valentine Mice and Words of Heart

Hi everyone!  Today Doodle Pantry is releasing 6 new sets, and I used 2 of the sets, Valentine Mice and Words of Heart to create my card.  Here's a preview of all the neat stuff these sets include:

For my design, I merged 2 images and 1 solid digi paper together.  First, I pasted the beige digi paper from Valentine Mice in a Word document.  Next, the Heart Words image was pasted on top of the digi paper. Last, I pasted the mouse with balloons on top and grouped all 3 layers together.

An extra fussy cut balloon was adhered to the card with foam dots.  Simple punched flowers with candy dot embellishments finish my design.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:

Many thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Moo Birdie

Good Evening, everyone.  Just a quick post tonight to share a fun card using 2 Doodle Pantry sets,  Moo Birdie and the freebie set, Triple Chicks.   I paper pieced the outline Moo Birdie images digitally using digi papers, including black dotted paper.  Then I merged some chicks from Triple Chicks on top of Moo Birdie, in a Word document.  After printing the combined images, I added coloring and shading with Copics and colored pencils mixed with gamsol.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
Polkadoodles Challenge -- Tic Tac Toe (I used more than 2 Layers, Ribbon & Faux Stitching.)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and don''t forget to stop by Doodle Pantry tomorrow to see the new batch of sets being released!

The Outlawz -- Twisted Thursday Challenge (TT010815)

Morning everyone!  Today starts a new Twisted Thursday Challenge (TT010815) on The Outlawz; and I'm thrilled to be a guest designer for the challenge. For this week's challenge it's anything goes with an optional twist -- Gate Fold Card. The challenge is being sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  Sure hope you join us for this fun challenge!

The Bugaboo image is Ava swing. Coloring was done with Copics.  I also decorated the swing and dressed Ava for Valentine's day using digital paper piecing, which is one of my favorite techniques.  I also fussy cut an extra bow and added it to to the image with dimensionals.

I kept my design very simple.  The gate folded base is unadorned.  To hold the gatefold closed, I created a simple belly band and mounted the image on top with dimensionals.  Easy peasy to make and slides off easily too.

I will also be entering this card in the following challenges:
Catch the Bug Challenge -- January: Anything Goes
Clear It Out Challenge -- Theme: Anything Goes; Stash: Anything Goes (My ribbon has been in my stash forever.)
Try It On Tuesday -- My Favorites Things (digital images/papers/paper-piecing technique; dies, and Copics.)
Top Tip Tuesday -- Keep It Simple Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay warm and have a happy weekend!

Ants In My Pantry Digital Challenge

Hi everyone!  I'm back again with a heads up to let you know, starting today, there is a new monthly Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge on the Doodle Pantry blog.  Be sure to stop by and read about the changes and the fabulous prizes you could win.

Each month there will be a new theme.  As January 11 is Milk Day, the theme this month is to use or feature something associated with milk and use buttons or brads (optional).  I had so much fun with this challenge I couldn't resist making two different cards.

For my first card, I merged pre-colored images from 2 different DP sets, Salty Snack Mice as well as Milk & Cookies.  The cheese digi paper is from Quirky Mouse (just changed the background color to match the image).  A dark pink button and bow finish the design.

The second card features one of the new releases,  Udder Fun Ants.  The digi paper is from an older DP set, Magnolia.  And yes, those black circles are buttons.  Unfortunately, the shadows filled in the button holes in my photo.

Can't wait to see what you create for the challenge.  Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Roller Skates

Happy Tuesday!  Exciting news --  Doodle Pantry will be releasing new products every Tuesday, and the new products for that day will be marked down 25% off!!  Be sure to stop by the Doodle Pantry store to check out the new goodies and samples by the team.

For today's release, I worked with the new set, Roller Skates.  Here is a preview of everything this set includes:

For my card, I used one of the outline images from the set, and paper-pieced the laces with red dotted digi paper from Balloon Ants Color.  I also used the same paper for one of the background layers.  Coloring was done with Copics. Embellishments include Spirelli string art, a dotted bow and prima flower.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
Craft-Dee Bow Z January Challenge CDB21 -- Anything Goes with a handmade bow
A Gem of a Challenge #135 -- Something New (My image and sentiment are new.)
Pile it On Challenge #50 -- Digi Paper and/or pre-colored digi image ( I used digi paper to paper-piece the laces of the roller skates and also use the same digi paper for one of the layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day!
