Easter Trio

Hi all!  Here's my card for From the Heart Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge for the month of March.  This is a progressive challenge, meaning you need to play along to receive the next image for free.

Easter Trio is From the Heart Stamps set this month.  All three images as well as the sentiment I used are among the goodies this set includes.  After paper-piecing the cloud background digitally and adding digital coloring, I printed the image twice, so I could cut the images out and adhered them to the image panel with foam dots for added dimension.

I will also be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers Challenge #135 -- Spring Has Sprung
Pile it On Challenge #62 -- Easter/Spring

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Happy Crafting!

Party Hat Birdbrain

Happy Friday!  Here's my take on this week's  i {heart} sketch challenge -- Sketch 102.  Isn't this image a hoot... It's a new one From the Heart Stamps called Party Hat Birdbrain.  I paper-pieced the party hat digitally and also added digital coloring.

I will also be entering this card in the following fun challenges:
QKR Stampede Challenge 132 -- Add a Sentiment

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Many thanks for stopping by!

Card Cut Falling Ants

Morning everyone!  Just a heads up to let you know a new cutting file called Card Cut Punctuate It has been added to the Doodle Pantry shop.  Since this new set includes both SVG and png files, I  was able to combine one of the png frames with an older DP set, Falling Ants Combo, to make the card shown above.

I  changed the colors and did some digital paper-piecing of the frame.  I also digitally colored the Falling Ants image to match.

I will also be entering this card in the following challenges:
RRR Challenge #114 -- Bright Spring Colors with Ribbon or Trim
Crafty Ribbons (03/19) -- Anything Goes with Ribbon
Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge TT031915 -- Anything Goes with (opt.) Twist-- favorite something -- (My favorite is lace ribbon.)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great week.

Lucky Birdbrain

Just a quick post tonight as I am making the challenge deadline by the skin of my teeth. Here's my take on i {heart} Card Sketches -- Sketch 100 with a twist: CAS (clean and simple).  Congratulations to Faith and her team for reaching the 100 mark!

The image I used is one of my favorite FTHS -- Lucky Birdbrain Chick.  Yep, I'm a birdbrain addict.  I can't help it... they make me giggle.

For my card,  I went with the twist and kept my design clean and simple.  Besides the button, I added some flower soft to the base of the image.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Doggies and Things

Morning everyone!  I have two cards to share today using the fun set, Doggies and Things, to create a center-step card.  I also borrowed the bow tie and birthday hat from these two Doodle Pantry sets: Hats and Things and Just Nutty.

To create the image, I combined both pre-colored and outline images from the sets mentioned above. I added digital paper piecing as well some coloring to the cute doggie and changed the colors of the birthday hat to match.

For the second card,  I used the same Doodle Pantry digi images -- just changed up the design and added 2 layers of grass die cuts and a button embellishment.

Also want to let you know that Doodle Pantry is one of the sponsors for the Open-Minded Crafting Challenge #36 which starts today.  If you enter the challenge, you have a chance to win a $10 Doodle Pantry gift certificate.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy your weekend!

No Snow Birdbrain

Yep, I'm protesting winter!  Enough is enough already... I honestly have had it with freezing rain, ice, snow and frigid temps.  Made this card while another 7 inches of snow fell.  At least our area didn't get as much snow as the surrounding counties.

Aren't this image and sentiment a hoot!  Both are from a FTHS set called No Snow Birdbrain.  I also used this week's I {heart} Card Sketch with a Twist #99.  I included the twist, which was to use lots of glitter; sorry I couldn't get a good photo that showed all the sparkle added to the snow.  Paper-piecing the scarf and shovel's handle was done digitally as well as the coloring of the image.

I will also be entering my card in the following challenges:
I {heart}Card Sketch with a Twist #99 -- Sketch with twist-use lots of glitter
The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge -- Paper Piecing and/or Paper Piercing
Crafting With An Attitude Challenge 1 -- Free Style (Anything Goes)
D.R.S. Designs Challenge #164 -- Hot Trends-Button It (use buttons)
Little Red Wagon Challenge #279 -- Birds of a Feather
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge TT030515 -- Anything Goes w/opt. twist-texture

Thanks so much for stopping by; hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods.

Funky Sock Monkey with Mini Mazes

Morning everyone!  March's Ants In My Pantry Digital Challenge starts today on the Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles Blog.  The challenge will go live at noon EST.  Starting this month, the AIMPDC theme will always be 'anything goes' using a digital image.   More information regarding the challenge can be found here starting at noon EST.

My card for the AIMPDC#3 combines two fun DP sets, Funky Sock Monkey and Mini Mazes.  This was an easy, fun card to make.  Digital coloring of the outline sock monkey was done using photoshop elements.  Then, I just merged the monkey and maze images on top of dotted digi paper and grouped them together in a Word document before printing.

I will also be entering this card in the following challenges:
Digitally Sweet Challenge DSC129 -- Anything Goes
QRS Stampede Challenge #128 -- Circles
Meljen's Designs Challenge #249 -- Seeing Spots
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge TT022615 -- Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope March brings better weather to your neck of the woods.
