S2GSC34 - Twisted Thursday!

Hello everyone! It's time for another S2G Twisted Thursday sketch. The twist this week is to add ric rac/ribbon to your card. It's easy to play long; so please join us!

Here's my sample for this week's sketch. I used one of the new S2G holiday stamps called Winter Chair (SG292). For my twist, I added both ribbon and ric rac to my design. In order to share one of the 2 sentiments that comes with this set, I have also included a photo of the inside of my card. Other supplies used include PTI papers, MS border and coordinating corner punches, Nestabilities dies, buttons and pearl stick-ons from my stash.

S2G Birthday Girl

Happy Monday. Today I am sharing a card I made for SNR's Digi Day hosted by Shirley's 2 Girls on November 14. My image is a free digi provided by Shirley's 2 Girls for this event.

The fold used for the card base is called a Spring Card. The easy SCS tutorial for this fold found can be found here. I used a piece of SU! Razzleberry Lemonade DP for the fold. My image was cut with a Nestabilites die, colored with my Copics, and framed with coordinating Rich Razzleberry cardstock before attaching to the card base. Lots of dazzling diamonds, bling and a metal sentiment were used to finish off this cute image just in time for me to send to my little cousin!

I really had fun playing with my new S2G Happy Turkey Day (SG 306) image. I paper pieced the sentiment as well as the football and leaf. In addition, I added paper piercing to the swirl and around the scalloped edges. For some reason, my card this week had a mind of its own... it just kept telling me that my image panel wanted to be placed at an angle and to the left of the circle (hehe)! For the circular element, I used 2 different sizes of scallop circles. To satisfy this week's wire twist, I threaded thin wire around the edge of the larger circle. I finished my card with a fancy brad.

Hi everyone! I'm really excited about this week's Twisted Thursday sketch with a twist (S2GSC32) brought to you by Shirley's 2 Girls. It's so easy, fun and definitely a keeper. I'm thinking it's the perfect sketch to use when mass producing cards. Yep, I'm doing the happy dance because I think I found my sketch for this year's Christmas cards!

With such a great Twisted Thursday sketch, how can you not play with us! So no excuses this week...

For my sample I used one of the S2G Thanksgiving images called Blessings (SG 308). I colored my image with Copics on PTI select white. I mounted my image on a more mustard layer which was cut with a Nestabilities scallop die. I also used a mix of SU! and Recollections DP. To satisfy this week's twist, my card base is kraft cardstock. I added 3 buttons from my stash and this card was done! KLM Digital Designs - Christmas Globe

Morning everyone!  Loving the extra hour of sleep; how about you?

Here's a card I made with one of the new November images released by KLM Digital Designs.  It is called Christmas Globe.  I recently saw a video tutorial on Beate's blog, Fresh and Fun, called Acetate and Tissue.  I loved the look she achieved and wanted to give it a try.  Be sure to check out the wonderful tutorial on Beate's blog!

My card attempts a modified version of this technique.  Here's what I did:
Image was printed  twice -- once on PTI select white; then I reversed the image and printed it on a transparency so that I could cut out the globe part and overlay it over the image printed on cardstock.   
Coloring of the trees was done directly on the acetate.  Then I added Glossy Accents, bashful blue reinker and dazzling diamonds around the trees before flipping the image over and adhering it to my PTI white layer. The base of the snow globe was colored with Copics.

Sneak Peek!

Morning Everyone... I just couldn't wait to share a sneak peek of one of the new images that will be released on November 1 by KLM Digital Designs! What could be more perfect for Christmas -- quilts and snowmen, or in this case a Snowwoman! However today I wanted to showcase how versatile this image is and wanted to share a card I made for a friend using warm, rich colors. I teamed my image with one of my favorite 'quilt' sentiments from PTI.

I am not a quilter but am a big fan of anything quilted. I have many quilts displayed in our home. Some are old and some are new and I love them all. Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I first saw KLM's Quilted Snowwoman!
