Quirky Christmas Cat

Hello again!  Just a quick post tonight to share my Quirky Christmas cat.  I combined two Doodle Pantry sets into one -- Quirky Cat  (pre-colored image) with one of the hats from Santa Accessories.  The hat was colored with Copic markers; then embellished with white glitter and a small pompom.

I mounted my image on a tag punch pinwheel made with the small SU! tag punch.  If you are not familiar with this fold, check out the great tutorial posted on  Stamp Monkeys.  The digital papers used are from two different Doodle Pantry paper packs --  Four Season Digi Paper Pack and Bold Summer Digital Paper Pack.  I printed the patterns on both sides of a single sheet of paper to create my matching double-sided DSP.  To finish my design, I added a simple corner punch embellished with a "pearl" snowflake.  Now this little guy is a wrap and ready for my stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Sure hope you are able to stop back on the first of October for the new Doodle Pantry release!

MMSC123 -- Bat Cat

Good Morning, everyone!  Here's my take on this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC123).  For this card,  I combined digital products from two of my favorite companies. -- "priscillastyles" Store and Doodle Pantry.

The fun, digital image is from the newly released set, Bat Cat Digital Stamp set by "priscillastyles" Store.  This image was colored with Copics.  I added dazzling diamonds to the mask, and MS glitter to the chair's buttons.    The digital pattern papers are from the Birdie Bat COLOR set by Doodle Pantry.  Bat embellishments were made using 2 different MS punches.  I also used a SU! corner punch.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges (CC106) -- Halloween card or decor project

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy your week!

MMSC122 -- Christmas Winter Skates

Good Morning, everyone.  Are you ready for another fabulous new sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC122)... Well, today's the today and you can find the new sketch HERE.

I combined the sketch with a fabulous new digital image from the Christmas Winter Skates set by "priscillastyles" .  My image was colored with Spica pens and Copic Markers.   I embossed a sheet of  dark red shimmer cardstock from the DCWV Shimmer Stack. Then sanded the embossing  to let the white core show through.  The 'lace' background paper has been in my stash forever (sorry don't know the manufacturer's name).  To finish the vintage look, I added a lace bow and added a fancy brad.  Yay, another Christmas card done and ready for my stash!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Jingle Belles -- Happy Hybrid Holidays -- Must incorporate one digital stamp or element.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a great day!

Birdie Bat Color

Hi everyone and a Happy Sunday to you.  Gosh September is flying by... I can't believe this month is half over.  Since Halloween will be here before you know it, I couldn't resist using the new Birdie Bat COLOR  for the Send a Smile 4 Kids Challenge that  Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this week.

The new Birdie Bat Color is a colorized version of a DP Halloween set released last year.  Pre-colored digis really make quick work of getting the job done, and I just love the digi papers that are also included with this set!  I combined the blue with traditional Halloween colors; added some punched bats; and I also added a big bow w/sentiment to finish my design.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
Send a Smiled 4 Kids -- Halloween/Fall for kids
Corrosive Challenge #133 -- Punches and/or dies (I used both.)
Sketch Colors #85 -- orange , white and black

Have a great week and thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!

Funny Disguised Sheep

Hello everyone, I have been having so much fun playing with Doodle Pantry's new set, "Funny Disguises".  I merged one of the funny masks over one of Laurie's "Happy Sheep" in a Word document.  I then inserted a 'callout' shape, then added my sentiment.  What fun!

Coloring was done with Copics and I also used some pastels to create the cloud background.  Finishing touches include Flower Soft grass and my favorite embellishments, buttons.

I will be entering this card in some wonderful challenges:
Corrosive Challenge #132 -- Funny or Punny

I hope everyone has a wonderful week, and thank you for stopping by.

Berry Christmas

Hi All!  Just a quick post tonight to share some cards I made using a MDS by Stampin' Up brush set, Berry Christmas, to create some postage-friendly Christmas cards.  The first two cards also incorporate some MDS Christmas Cocoa DSP.  The third card's patterned paper is by DCVW.  I kept the design simple and used  a FTL sketch for the first and third cards.   Although I have lots more to make, I am very happy to have a few more done to add to my stash!

Well, it's time for me to say goodnight and head to bed.  Take care everyone and thanks for stopping by.

MMSC120 -- Pair of Skates

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I have a card to share today for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (SC120) .  I combined the sketch with a beautiful, new digital image, Pair of Ice Skates, by "priscillastyles".  I colored my image with Copics; added some jewelry spacers and silver rhinestones to create "faux" metal pegs; and used some patterned 'ice skates' paper that I have been hoarding in my stash waiting for the perfect image. I also added a panel of striped vellum for interest and texture.  A big glitzy bow was all I needed and my design was finished.  Don't you just love when an idea you have in your head works out on paper!?

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Creative Belli Challenge #125 -- Acetate or Vellum

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

New Doodle Pantry Release and DPDC16

Good Morning!.  Today, Doodle Pantry is releasing their September images, and has also posted a new Doodle Pantry Digi Challenge (DPDC16) on the Doodle Pantry Blog -- the theme is use a Doodle Pantry image (not just a sentiment). For more information, click HERE to view the challenge details and prize information.

I am also pleased to share 2 cards today using newly released DP sets.  For my first card, I used the new 'Cowboy Birdie' set.  This set comes with both outline and colored images, sentiments, and 1 sheet of digi paper.  I  combined the Cowboy Birdie digi paper with one of the blue patterned digi papers from the matching 'Western Digi Paper Pack' to created my teabag folded motif. The sweet birdie was colored with Copiic Markers; the hat band and neckerchief were paper pieced.

I wil be entering this card in the following challenges:
DYSU Challenge #35 -- Friendly Critters
Card Makin' Mamas Challenge #28 -- Going Digital (digi images and/or digi paper)

Next up is a card using another new set called 'Funny Disguises'.

I really had fun using these images to create an anniversary card for my niece and her husband.  Images were colored with Copics and Spica pens.  Of course, I had to add wiggly eyes and some bling!  I finished my design with a handmade flower created with the help of punches and a computer-generated sentiment.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge 180 -- A pinch and a punch (Use at least 1 punch.  I used two.)

While you are at the Doodle Pantry checking out the new sets, don't forget to check out the Specials.  Lots of great September deals.  Plus Laurie is having a Labor Day sale -- 30% off entire cart!
