Cornucopia

Hi All!  Here's my card for October's Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge by From the Heart Stamps.   I will also be entering my card in this week's FTHS's i {heart] sketches 123 with a twist -- use stitching.

The month's freebie set is Cornucopia.  I used the image and one of the sentiments to make my card.  I colored the image digitally,  added stitching, and embellished the card with a cluster of die cut leaves and a twine bow.

Candy Corn

Gosh, where did September go?  Yep, October's here already and with the new month starts a new Ants in My Pantry Digital Challenge #10.  The challenge is posted on the Doodle Pantry Blog.  The theme is 'any digi goes'.  

For my card today, I went with a Halloween theme and used the pre-colored jar with candy corn, topper and digital paper from Doodle Pantry's Everyday Jargon.  Also added a label with sentiment to the jar as well as a candy corn maze from Mini Mazes Halloween (which I colored digitally).

Snow Ball Ants in Snow Globe

Hi all!  I'm back with another Christmas card.  This time I combined images from Doodle Pantry's Snowball Ants and Snow Globe Gala sets.  This was a quick and easy card to put together as I kept my design simple and used precolored images.  The snowy background is one of my all-time favorite digi papers for winter scenes... It's from another DP set, Snowman Pile-up.

Moose Be Christmas

October's almost here and I am way behind making Christmas cards for my stash...  So I took some time yesterday and made this card using the darling Moose Friends set from Doodle Pantry.

The Christmas lights are actually from another DP set, COLOR Holiday Sheep.  I cropped and pieced the lights from the sheep image, then merged the lights on top of the moose to look as if the lights are wrapped around the antlers.

I'm pleased with how this turned out and hope you like it too!  I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern

Hi all, just a quick post tonight to share my card using  i [heart} sketches with a twist, Sketch 119. The cute image is From The Heart Stamps' Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern.  The image was colored and paper-pieced digitally; then merged on digi paper. Also, couldn't resist adding goggle eyes to the jack-o-lantern.

Pumpkin Patch Girl

Can you believe I finished my card for September's Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge almost two weeks ahead of my usually last minute post.  This month's From the Heart Stamps freebie set is called Pumpkin Patch Girl (Faithful Friends).  I also will be entering my card in this week's i {heart) card sketches with a twist #118.

I colored the darling image digitally then merged the image on top of a watercolor background.  Additions include a small crystal embellishment as well as a sentiment from the set which I punched out, layered, and mounted with a foam dot.

Candy Corn Ants

Those Doodle Pantry ants are at it again... This time they are "dressed up" for Halloween and taking off with a candy corn.  The cute digi image, sentiment and paper are from the set, Candy Corn Ants COLOR.  This set comes with both pre-colored and outline images.  For my card, I use the outline image and colored it digitally.

Christmas Greetings

Hi All!  Here's a Christmas card using the new Christmas Greetings set by From the Heart Stamps.  By the way, this set was only a dollar -- what a bargain! 

I merged the image on top of a watercolor background.  Image was colored and paper pieced digitally.  Although barley visible in the photo, glitter was added to the snow at the bottom of the image.

Feathery Friends

Happy September, everyone!  Here's my card for the Ant's in My Pantry Digital Challenge #9 which starts today on the Doodle Pantry Blog.  The theme is anything goes as long as you use a digi.  Sure hope you join in the fun.

For my card, I kept my design CAS, and used one of Doodle Pantry's pre-colored digital images and digi paper from the Feathery Friends set.  I also added a sentiment to the front of the image.  The sketch is by Freshly Made Sketches.

Candy Cane for Snowman

Hi everyone.  Here's my card for the Digital Stamp of the Month as well as i {heart} card sketch with a twist #116 challenges at From The Heart Stamps.  The darling free stamp of the month for August is called Candy Cane for Snowman.  

For my take on the sketch, I turned the sketch 180 degrees.  The image was merged on top on some dotted dig paper.  I colored the image digitally, and also added some digital paper-piecing to the snowman's hat and scarf.  

I am thrilled to have my first Christmas card done!  I see a lot of snowman cards in my future... Thanks so much for stopping by, and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Hi everyone.  Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge.  I combined two Doodle Pantry sets, Autumn Critters and Lively Leaves, to create my card.

For my take on the sketch, I turned the sketch on its side and went with a Fall theme. I merged the acorns and leaf images together; then added the sentiment on top.  The large leaf and tops of the acorns were paper-pieced with digi papers from the Autumn Critters set.  Both the coloring of the acorns as well as the paper-piecing were done digitally.

Little Lighthouse

Evening everyone.  Today's card is my take on Try Stampin'-Or Not-on Tuesday Challenge #232.  The Little Lighthouse image is from Doodle Pantry.  I used the outline image from the set, colored it digitally, and merged it on top of cloud digi paper.

Birdbrain Graduate

I've been playing catch up on cards that I missed sending/posting when my husband was in the hospital.  Here's one I made for a dear cousin who is heading to Syracuse University in a couple of weeks.  Congratulations, Samantha!

I started with a sentiment and border from a MDS/Stampin' Up! set that I love.  (SU! has since discontinued their MDS line, which I dearly miss).  Then I merged the whimsical Birdbrain Graduate image by From the Heart Stamps on top for a bit of fun.

AIMPDC#8 -- School Birdie

Happy August.  It's the first of the month and that means a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge #8 (AIMPDC#8) starts today on the Doodle Pantry Blog.  Sure hope you join in the fun for a chance to win a wonderful prize.

Summer is flying by and school will be starting before we know it.  So how could I not make a card celebrating my great nephew's first day of nursery school... I combined Doodle Pantry's School Birdie image with a blackboard image from another fun set, School Sheep COLOR Plus.  The background digi paper is from Doodle Pantry's School Time Digi Paper Pack.  I colored and paper-pieced both the blackboard and birdie images digitally; added a border and banner die cuts; then finished my design with some candy dot embellishments.

Inner Tube Birdbrain

Morning everyone, gosh summer is flying by...  I'm finally back with my card for From The Heart Stamps --  July's Free Stamp Of the Month Challenge.  This month's set is a hoot.  It's called Inner Tube Birdbrain and has lots of fun images and sentiments.

I will be making the challenge deadline by the skin of my teeth; so I am going to keep this post short and head on over to the challenge to get my card entered.

Cute Cake

Happy Sunday Morning!  Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 318.  For my take on the challenge, I combined two Doodle Pantry sets -- Cute Cake and Rounded Wishes FREE w/purchase.

 I used a mix of the inspiration colors for my digital coloring and paper piecing, as well as the various layers.  Love these bright happy colors and thought they would be perfect for a feminine birthday card.

Seahorse Snow Globe

Hi all!  Here's my take on Tuesday Morning Sketches #308.  I merged/grouped images from two different Doodle Pantry sets  -- Seahorse Habitat COLOR plus and Snow Globe Gala -- to create the seahorse snow globe.

This card came together quickly as I used colored images from both sets.  Merging the images was easy to do too since the colored PNG images have transparent backgrounds.  Formatting was done in a Word document.  First, I sized the images to fit together; then I pasted the seahorse habitat on top of the snow globe.

I Heart Sketches

Hi, everyone  Here's my take on this week's i {heart} sketch 113 with a twist.  The adorable mouse image is a new freebie by From The Heart Stamps called Mouse Balloon.  The image was colored digitally.  I added a sentiment from the set inside the balloon; and merged the image on top of dotted digi paper -- one of my favorites things/techniques to do with digis.

Feathery Friends

Good Afternoon, everyone.  Just a quick post today to share a bright, happy card on this rainy afternoon.  I used an image from Doodle Pantry's Feathery Friends to make my card.  The digi paper I used to paper-piece the feathers and make the green fishtail banner is from the same set.  I also added some digital coloring to the image and embellished the circular panel with some Spirelli string art.
