"Bacon" In The Sun!

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today I have a fun card to share that combines two super cute images by Bugaboo Stamps -- Fried Chicken and Bacon in the Sun.  Although it's hard to see in the photo, both the chicken and pig were paper-pieced digitally with dotted paper from Polka Dot Parade by MDS/SU!.  The cloud background is from My Graficio.  Coloring was done with Copics as well as Photoshop Elements.  A scattering of sand was glued to the base of the images.

Garden Hose Ants

Happy start to a new week!  Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the Pile It On Challenge.  The theme is "Summer Fun",  and I think these cute ants from Garden Hose Ants Color Plus fill the bill.  

The image was merged on top of cloud digi paper from Cupid Turtle.  I used 2 different digi papers from Birthday Bash to paper-piece the inner-tubes.  Also, added a panel of the same dotted paper to the card's base.  Coloring done with Copics and a Sakura Clear Star pen.

Carousel Seahorse

Happy Thursday!  Did you ever mount an image to your card and didn't notice it was crooked until after the photo was taken?  Yep, that's what happened with this card that I made earlier in the week.  Finally, am posting it after I changed things up a bit.

This beautiful seahorse is from Doodle Pantry's Carousel Seahorse set.  I used the outline image included and colored it with Copics and a bit of pastels on the cheek.  I also used some digi paper from the set and added some paper piecing.  The background paper is from Doodle Pantry's Bold Summer Digital Paper Pack -- I just lightened the color in a Word Document to match the image.

Hi everyone,  Here's a card combining two digital sets from Doodle Pantry's new release -- the cap and sentiment from Topped with Class and Classic Numbers.

This card is for my brother-in-law who is turning 92 this month.  Since he'll only claim to be 81... his birthday is always celebrated with an "81 Forever" party.  Since he is also a huge Orioles fan, I embellished the card with an Orioles logo and used a orange and black color theme.  This card was made with the help of SU! punches and a rectangle die as well as a new Lil' inker designs stitched mat die.

Flying Dove

Oh my gosh, where did June go?  July is here and with the new month comes a wonderful new release from Doodle Pantry.  When you stop by Doodle Pantry to see the new release, be sure to check out the Specials Page to read the details about July's specials and the sale going on through July 8.

Also, starting today at noon EDT on the Doodle Pantry Blog is a new Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 48.  This month's theme for DPDC48 is "Make it Christmas or Make a Splash".  You do not have to use a Doodle Pantry image to enter the challenge, but the image must be digital.  There will be three $10 randomly selected winners from all entries.  So why not break out your digis and join in the fun!

Today, I am sharing a card using one of the DPDC48 themes -- Make it Christmas.  For my first Christmas card of the year, I used the lovely Flying Dove digital image and added a tiny leaf sprig to the dove that I cropped from one of the 12 Day of Christmas  COLOR plus images.  The digital paper is from the Updated Blessed Christmas set.  I used three different circle dies from Spellbinders as well as the ray of sunshine cutting plate from Taylor Expressions.  Lots of bling and a sheer dotted bow finish my design.
