Candy Cane for Snowman

Hi everyone.  Here's my card for the Digital Stamp of the Month as well as i {heart} card sketch with a twist #116 challenges at From The Heart Stamps.  The darling free stamp of the month for August is called Candy Cane for Snowman.  

For my take on the sketch, I turned the sketch 180 degrees.  The image was merged on top on some dotted dig paper.  I colored the image digitally, and also added some digital paper-piecing to the snowman's hat and scarf.  

I am thrilled to have my first Christmas card done!  I see a lot of snowman cards in my future... Thanks so much for stopping by, and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Hi everyone.  Today, Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this week's Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge.  I combined two Doodle Pantry sets, Autumn Critters and Lively Leaves, to create my card.

For my take on the sketch, I turned the sketch on its side and went with a Fall theme. I merged the acorns and leaf images together; then added the sentiment on top.  The large leaf and tops of the acorns were paper-pieced with digi papers from the Autumn Critters set.  Both the coloring of the acorns as well as the paper-piecing were done digitally.

Little Lighthouse

Evening everyone.  Today's card is my take on Try Stampin'-Or Not-on Tuesday Challenge #232.  The Little Lighthouse image is from Doodle Pantry.  I used the outline image from the set, colored it digitally, and merged it on top of cloud digi paper.

Birdbrain Graduate

I've been playing catch up on cards that I missed sending/posting when my husband was in the hospital.  Here's one I made for a dear cousin who is heading to Syracuse University in a couple of weeks.  Congratulations, Samantha!

I started with a sentiment and border from a MDS/Stampin' Up! set that I love.  (SU! has since discontinued their MDS line, which I dearly miss).  Then I merged the whimsical Birdbrain Graduate image by From the Heart Stamps on top for a bit of fun.

AIMPDC#8 -- School Birdie

Happy August.  It's the first of the month and that means a new Ants in my Pantry Digital Challenge #8 (AIMPDC#8) starts today on the Doodle Pantry Blog.  Sure hope you join in the fun for a chance to win a wonderful prize.

Summer is flying by and school will be starting before we know it.  So how could I not make a card celebrating my great nephew's first day of nursery school... I combined Doodle Pantry's School Birdie image with a blackboard image from another fun set, School Sheep COLOR Plus.  The background digi paper is from Doodle Pantry's School Time Digi Paper Pack.  I colored and paper-pieced both the blackboard and birdie images digitally; added a border and banner die cuts; then finished my design with some candy dot embellishments.
