DPBC6 -- Nutty for You
Good Morning. Today is release day at the Doodle Pantry Store. Laurie has just added some fabulous, new whimsical and realistic images to the Store. You are going to love them!
In addition, today starts a new Doodle Pantry Challenge (DPBC6) on the Doodle Pantry Blog. The theme for DPBC6 is Love. To participate, just create a new card or project following the Love Theme. (It can be anything that denotes love, such as wedding, anniversary, Valentine, etc.) Also, you must use a digital image. It does not have to be a Doodle Pantry image, but we would love to see them if you have them! If you want, check out the Doodle Pantry Freebie Page. As always, Laurie has some fabulous prizes up by grabs. Just click HERE to go directly to the challenge to get the details and to link your card.
Here's my take on today's Doodle Pantry Challenge #6 (DPBC6):
To create my card, I used one of Laurie's new sets called Nutty for You. Isn't it the cutest! I printed my image twice and reversed one of the squirrels. I colored my images with Copic Markers and dressed up my squirrels with an 'acorn' heart and some Flower Soft. Now check out the designer series paper... it's digital and is one of three styles included with this set. And if that is not enough, Laurie has also included both uncolored and pre-colored images. Now how cool is that! This was such a fun set to play with!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Sure hope you join us!

"priscillastyles" - Heart Wreath
Hi everyone! I LOVE my new Valentine image from the "priscillastyles" Store. It is called Heart Wreath and perfect for making a vintage-style Valentine for my hubby. My starting point was the fabulous Midnight Madness Sketch (MMSC86). I combined my new image with some of my favorite things as well as items that I have been hoarding in my stash. This was one of those cards that went together like a dream once I played mix and match and gathered the elements I thought worked best together. Don't you love when that happens?
My card combines the following challenges:
Stamp Something January Digi Day Challenge -- Use a digi
If the shoe fits... Fashionista Friday #61 -- Ribbon and Bows
Stampin' B's Design Team Challenge #92 -- use an old favorite and something brand spanking new (Buttons have always been my favorite embellishment. My Heart Wreath image is brand spankin' new.)
One Crazy Stamper January Challenge -- Theme is Love.
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. Enjoy your day!

Happy Holidays
Hi All! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying the holidays. I finally treated myself to some 'me' time today and hope to catch up with my blogging buddies over the next few days. This was the first Christmas that I can remember that I was frantic with last minute cleaning, shopping and cooking until the very last minute before our company arrived; and I hope it never happens again! My New Year's resolution is definitely going to be "better organization", and I am also resolving to make Christmas cards throughout the year! I may feature some type of Christmas post each month as a way to fulfill this resolution.
No, I did not start a new stash of cards for next Christmas.... just sharing a card I made my husband. It's one of my favorites, probably because I used felt (something I hadn't incorporated on a card in a very long time). I love the feel of this MFT felt and it cuts like butter. Also it reminds me of a Christmas stocking I had as a kid...
The vintage image is one I found on the Cleariy Vintage blog, and I am happy to report that my husband really liked it. My very best wishes for a very enjoyable holiday week and a very Heathy, Happy New Year! Stay warm and drive carefully in all the snow!

Christmas Carols
Hi everyone, sorry I've been MIA this week. I went through my stash of Christmas cards earlier this week, and just about had a panic attack when I discovered I was about twenty cards short. I did get about 10 cards made over the last couple of days between Christmas shopping, chores and such; and hope to get the rest finished over the weekend. Although I vowed to make more postage-friendly cards this year, this one had a mind of its own...
I used a Tim Holtz stamp, added lots of layers and embossing, and finished it with a fun flower I created with punches and dies. Wonder how much postage this one will take?
I will be entering this in the Creative Card Crew Challenge -- Anything Goes
Have a great weekend and thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Merry Christmas to You
Hi there! Last week, Laurie, illustrator and owner of the Doodle Pantry, released some wonderful colored sets of Winter Song Birdies. Talk about Laurie coming to the rescue.... I needed to make a card for my teenage nephew, and the pre-colored "Merry Christmas to you" sentiment ( which is included with all the sets) was perfect!
This card was a snap to put together, and would be very easy to mass produce. I kept things very simple and just used papers from my scrap bin, some dies and 3 'Cloud 9' epoxy dots. I just need to finish the inside pocket to hold a gift card, and I'm done.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges;

Stampin' B's Design Team Challenge #86 -- Make a Holiday Card
Freshly Brewed Challenges (FBC24) -- Winter/Christmas Theme
