Colonial Spring in Kraft
Just playing around with my Colonial Spring stamp from Obsession Impressions. This time I stamped my image on SU! kraft in Versafine crimson red. The image was colored with SU! pastels and highlighted with Copic markers. For some reason the photograph on this blog post looks washed out compared to what the actual photograph looks like in my iPhoto gallery. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Have a super week!
Supplies: Stamp - Colonial Spring by Obsession Impressions; Paper - SU! Kraft, generic base; Ink - Versafine crimson red; Accessories - clear EP, SU! pastels, Copic markers, Flower Soft, Deckle scissors.

A Quick Birthday......
Last week I got together with a friend and helped her put together some cards for her stash. For some reason, my husband took a fancy to this card and took a photo of it w/o my even knowing it. He thought I should post it on my blog..... I had to chuckle to myself because if a card is blue he usually loves it..... so this post is for you, sweetheart!
Now about the card...... My friend, Diane, who is a beginner cardmaker, really likes to use card kits. I made this card for her stash using one of her Anna Griffin kits. Talk about quick and easy! The best part of the afternoon was the time I spent with Diane. it was such a fun day!
Supplies: Everything except the deckle scissors, foam tape and adhesive were included in the Anna Griffin card kit.

CPS121 - Gracie on the 4th
This card was inspired by this week's CPS sketch 121. Although I tweaked the sample sketch by changing its shape to a standard size as well as turning the sketch on its side, I think it pretty much follows the layout. My image is another new digi image from S2G called Gracie on the 4th. Just for fun, I wanted to see how she would look in colors rather than the traditional red, white and blue. I think I pulled it off, but would love to hear what you think.....
Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamp - (DG19) Gracie on the 4th by Shirley's 2 Girls; Paper - all papers including DP by SU! except for the PTI white (which I love for coloring); Accessories - Copic markers, SU! scallop circle & EK Success circle punches, Cuttlebug swiss dots EF, SU! ribbon, crystal star stickers, and a star embellishment from my stash (maker unknown)

Red rhinestones and small crystal stars were also added. The image was colored with Copic markers and paper pieced with silver cardstock. My image is called Independence Cake (DG122). You can find all the new 4th of July digi images and matching DP here.
Hope you like what I came up with for today's OCC Challenge. Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

Twisted Thursday -- S2GSC14
Since Father's Day is just around the corner, I thought I'd share an image from a Shirley's 2 Girls set called I Woof You (SG612).
This week's Twisted Thursday sketch (S2GSC14) with a color twist -- to use purple somewhere on your card..... filled the bill for my Father's Day card. Thanks Joy for another great sketch this week! For more deets regarding this week's challenge go to Karolyn's blog.
For my TT sample, I turned the sketch and added my sentiment to the right of the image. For the purple twist, I incorporated a few different shades of purple..... the Cuttlebug embossed panel, paper-pieced 'DAD", as well as the purple glitter added to the dog's collar and #1.
Sure hope you have time to play along with us this week! As always, the random winner of this week's sketch gets to choose a stamp from the S2G product line! Please post your card to your blog/online gallery and use keywords, S2GSC14 and shirleys2girls. Then go to Karolyn's blog and post a direct link to your card using Mr. Linky. Oldie but Goodie
This card is an oldie but goodie..... Made ages ago, but never posted to my blog. It uses a variation of the Emboss Resist Technique.
After coloring my tree with SU! markers, I applied a VersaMark embossing pen to some of the areas of my tree; then I embossed with clear embossing powder. Next, the crown of the tree was sponged with 2 shades of green ink. A quick wipe with a tissue removed any unwanted ink from the areas that were embossed. I really like this technique. It's easy, quick and lots of fun to do!
Thanks so much for visiting today. Be sure to stop back for Twisted Thursday!
Supplies: Stamps - PTI Father Knows Best and Garden of Life; Paper - SU! sage shadow, whisper white, PTI - DP, generic white base; Ink - Versafine onyx black, VersaMark embossing pen, Adirondack bottle & SU! sage shadow for sponging, SU makers for coloring; Accessories - PTI ribbon, clear EP, buttons, deckle scissors, Cuttlebug embosing folder, Creative Memories cutter.

S2GSC13 Twisted Thursday
Good Morning! I have a new Twisted Thursday sketch and card to share with you today. The twist to this week's sketch (S2GSC13) is -- add paper piecing to your card.
My dog's name is Ace, and he is one of the new dog sets just released by Shirley's 2 Girls. This set is called Grad Dog (SG615) and can be found here. My image was stamped on PTI white and colored with Copics. I then cut around the image's border before mounting it on SU! Baja Breeze. For this week's twist, I paper pieced Ace's cap, collar and stars. The DP and ribbon are also SU! products. I finished off my card with a Cuttlebug die sentiment and added a brad to Ace's mortarboard.
We would love for you play along with us! Just post your card to your blog/online gallery. Be sure to use keywords S2GSC13 and shirleys2girls. Then go to Karolyn's blog and use Mr. Linky to post a direct link to your card. Deadline for submission is Sunday, June 7, at midnight (PDT). The winner of today's Twisted Thursday challenge will get to choose a stamp from the Shirley's 2 Girls product line! Sure hope you win!!
