S2GSC17 - It's a 'Christmas in July' Twisted Thursday!

S2G is hoping to cool off the hot July temps with some cool 'Christmas in July' challenges and prizes. Plus, if you place an online order in July, you get free shipping!

Today is the first of three special Christmas Twisted Thursdays. We hope you join in the fun and get all red, green and jolly with us! For more information, be sure to check out the S2G Paper Crafting Contest Blog.

Here is a summary of the details:

• Create a Christmas card using the sketch below. Be sure to add this week's twist -- add distressing.
• You are not required to use S2G Christmas stamps. However, if you have them, why not use them! If you want, you can even purchase a new Christmas digi stamp and paper for your very own TT project here!
• To win, leave a comment and post a direct link of your creation, using Mr. Linky, on the S2G Paper Crafting Contest Blog. Please use keywords S2GSC17 and shirleys2girls.
• Deadline for submission is Sunday, July 5, at midnight PDT.

Here is the best part: The winner of this week's challenge will win "an early Christmas present" which includes a variety of S2G Christmas stamps, papers, and embellishments!

For my card I used the S2G image called We Won't Go Cats (SGH10). I used a Cuttlebug EF to emboss the base of my card. I also used the Emboss Resist Technique on two strips of white CB embossed cardstock which were brayered with red ink and sponged with pink to match the S2G DP. These were adhered to the top and bottom of my card base. My image was colored with Copic markers. It wouldn't be Christmas without some sparkle, so I embellished my card with glitter and red rhinestones. Although it is barely visible in the photo, I distressed the edges of the panel of S2G DP.
