S2GSC49 - Garden Silhouette with Butterfly

Hi all and greetings to all my friends at S2G! Okay, I admit it... I'm crazy for buttons! So when I saw the Twisted Thursday challenge with a button twist over at Shirley's 2 Girls, I just had to play. What fun! This card also qualifies for this month's Central Theme challenge sponsored by the SCS Dirty Dozen for Fan Club Members.
My easy peasy butterfly embellishment was a snap to make:
  • First I used a Sizzix die to cut my material. (I used a piece from an old quilt square.)
  • Then I threaded waxed linen thread through a button and used the tails of my thread to form the antennae.
  • Next I added a few adhesive dots to the back of the button and attached it to the body of the butterfly.
  • All done... couldn't be easier!

Supplies: Stamps - SU! Garden Silhouettes; Paper - SU! very vanilla, night of navy and not quite navy Ink - SU! craft night of navy; Accessories - Corner Rounder punch, SU! Sizzix butterflies and top note dies; waxed linen thread; and, of course, buttons!
