Snowman Cheer


Happy weekend, everyone!  Well, I switched gears and created my first Christmas card for 2011.  I was inspired by the savvy card makers that create Christmas cards year round.  Rather than wait until the last minute crunch (Something I did last year and don't want to repeat.), my intentions are to create a card a week for my stash of holiday cards.  

My image is a new one (for me) from the Clear Dollar Store called Snowman Cheer.  I love snowman images and when I saw this one I couldn't resist.  I used the pre-colored image that comes with this set as well as the matching paper.  

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Clearly Inspired Challenge #24 (CIC24) -- sketch
CCEE Stampers (CCEE1112) -- Create a Christmas/Winter holiday card.

Supplies:  Digital Stamps -- Snowman Cheer Set/Clear Dollars Stamps, sentiment/Doodle Pantry; Paper - SU! whisper white, real red, brilliant blue, dsp -- blue plaid from Snowman Cheer Set.generic white base; Ink - computer, SU1 bashful blue for shading; Accessories -- Sizzix snowflake embossing folder, Fun Flock, glitter, MS flocked ric rak, Spellbinders dies; Marvy snowflake punch, epoxy dots from my stash.

    Great idea..and I should do Christmas cards thru the year too.. Last year I made my family's cards on the morning of Dec 26..how lame is that..

    Adorable card, Pat. And super appropriate for my area. We have temperatures in the higher 20s and might get some more snow. LOL
    Thank goodness right now the sun is shining and as long as I am inside I can pretend spring is here.

    This is so cute, Pat!! Love what you did with the embossing on top - the snowflakes are perfect. :) Great work getting your Christmas cards ready now!! I meant to start doing that...in January... I made one and that was the end of it! lol :)
