Flowers For You

Hi everyone.  My card today was inspired by this post on Mel Stampz.  Mel shares a gorgeous card using the 'For You Flowers' image included on the Stampin Up's So Much to Sale-A-Brate Disc.  Mel also shares a brilliant tutorial explaining how to convert solid SU! images into outline images!  Here's a direct link to the tutorial.

Since I have this disc, I used the same image and followed the instructions to convert the image from solid to outline.  I am thrilled with the results.  Thanks so much, Mel!

Instead of paper piecing, I 'filled' the flower outlines digitally with one of the digi papers from Bold Summer Paper Pack by Doodle Pantry.  I also colored the center of the large flower with Spica and glaze pens.  What a fun and easy card to make!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

  7. Just had to read your post again, and I see you used digis instead of paper piecing. You fooled me as my last statement said, "great paper piecing." I'm off to look at more of your blog.
