DPSTP05 -- Quirky Crab


Hi all!  Doodle Pantry has posted a new Stock the Pantry Challenge (DPSTP5) on their blog.  It's easy to play along -- just use a Doodle Pantry image.  So don't be crabby -- get crafty and join in the fun!  There are lots of prizes up for grabs.  Click here for all the details.

Now about my card... I merged two Doodle Pantry images into one.  First, I selected and cropped some of the grass from the Caterpillar Hug set.  Then pasted it into a Word document.  Next, I selected the outline png image from the Quirky Crab set and merged it on top. I colored the images including the sky and sand with Copic markers. Then I covered the crab and grass with a VersaMark pen before heat embossing with clear embossing powder.  I also added "faux" sand for dimension.  The DSP is also from the Quirky Crab set.

    Terrific card, love the merging and the copic colouring. Wow, so good!!! I have that embossing folder (Stampin' Up stripes?). Love how it looks on your card. Super work as usual Pat!

    Oh this is toooooo cute! Love the fun bright colors on the crab and especially that sunburst type mat behind with the orange peeking through. Just awesome against the white.

    This is terrific Pat! I just love the merged images - very clever. Love the texture with the embossed base and the effect of the layered scallop circle die onto the other one. What a great look that achieves.
