New Doodle Pantry Release and DPDC16

Good Morning!.  Today, Doodle Pantry is releasing their September images, and has also posted a new Doodle Pantry Digi Challenge (DPDC16) on the Doodle Pantry Blog -- the theme is use a Doodle Pantry image (not just a sentiment). I am also pleased to share 2 cards today using newly released DP sets.  For my first card, I used the new 'Cowboy Birdie' set.  This set comes with both outline and colored images, sentiments, and 1 sheet of digi paper.  I  combined the Cowboy Birdie digi paper with one of the blue patterned digi papers from the matching 'Western Digi Paper Pack' to created my teabag folded motif. The sweet birdie was colored with Copiic Markers; the hat band and neckerchief were paper pieced.

Next up is a card using another new set called 'Funny Disguises'.


I really had fun using these images to create an anniversary card for my niece and her husband.  Images were colored with Copics and Spica pens.  Of course, I had to add wiggly eyes and some bling!  I finished my design with a handmade flower created with the help of punches and a computer-generated sentiment.

    Oh Pat these are just terrific! I adore that teabag fold ornament with the digi papers - how is that done? What a great touch along with your gorgeously perfect coloring of that bird. And the anniversary card using those masks is hysterical - so clever and I know your niece and her husband are just going to love it. Such a creative mind you have!

    Pat... YOU totally rocked this new release!! I fell in LOVE with your funny disguises card when Laurie showed it to us in the group--sooo FUN! Beautiful papers too by the way *Ü* And I love your cute bird card too! I'd love to see a tutorial on that piece behind your sentiment--that's PERFECT for this cowboy card and looks so interesing!! *Ü*

    I vote for a tutorial on the tea fold as well...just beautiful and your bow in the twine, just perfect. Loving the anniversary card...so cleaver. I had a pair of glasses shaped like those when I was a young girl, minus the bling of course. Looking forward to the next 6 months on the team.
