Hi everyone. Today's card is my first try at a new (to me) technique, called Punched Ombre. This technique was created by Deb Valder. I learned how to do it by watching one of Linda's top notch videos on Stamping School.
After completing the punched and embossed background, I only needed to add a small focal point to the card's front to finish my design. I was able to get the look I was striving for by combining elements from two different Doodle Pantry sets -- pre-colored flowered branches from Genuine Love; and a Happy Mother's Day sentiment from Salutations Francaises. The branches were arranged, grouped and some were even cropped In a Microsoft Word document before merging them together on top of a simple oval shape. Just had to add the sentiment to the inside of the oval, before printing, die cutting and adding the digital focal point to the card's front.
I would like to enter my card in the following fun challenges:
Sassy Studios DTBST Challenge #228 -- Happy Mother's Day
Inspired by... #114 -- Mother's Day Theme
