Funky Sock Monkey



Morning everyone!  It's Tuesday and that means a new release at Doodle Pantry.  Lots of new goodies are in the shop.  Plus all the new releases are marked down 25% for today only, February 17.

For today's release, I made a sample using the new set, Funky Sock Monkey.  This darling set was created to help support Operation Write Home.  One dollar of every sale of this product will be donated to this worthy cause.

For the card above, I combined one of the pre-colored monkeys and papers from Funky Sock Monkey with a cropped balloon and sentiment from one of my older favorites, Winter Birthday.  After cropping the balloon, I added paper-piecing. Then I merged the balloon and monkey images together.  The balloon embellishment was made with dies from Lil' Inker Designs.

    I have memories of my grandmother making sock monkeys over 50 years ago! Super cute birthday card, Pat! I love this funky monkey and his patterned balloons!

    How delightful!!!! I so want to do the monkey. My sister use to make sock monkeys but I never got one. I have a little miniature one in my craftroom that I can't find since our move. They just make me smile....just like your wonderful card!

    OH my goodness, this is ever cute! I still have mine from when I was a little girl, minus an arm that our bassett hound chewed off! Lovely colors! ♥

    Pat, Sorry I have not been around but starting to feel a little better and I think the meds are finally working. Trying to get my comments done. This is one of the cutest cards, love the sock monkey, he has been around a long time. Love the balloons and the papers always go so nice.
