No Snow Birdbrain

Yep, I'm protesting winter!  Enough is enough already... I honestly have had it with freezing rain, ice, snow and frigid temps.  Made this card while another 7 inches of snow fell.  At least our area didn't get as much snow as the surrounding counties.

Aren't this image and sentiment a hoot!  Both are from a FTHS set called No Snow Birdbrain.  I also used this week's I {heart} Card Sketch with a Twist #99.  I included the twist, which was to use lots of glitter; sorry I couldn't get a good photo that showed all the sparkle added to the snow.  Paper-piecing the scarf and shovel's handle was done digitally as well as the coloring of the image.

I will also be entering my card in the following challenges:
I {heart}Card Sketch with a Twist #99 -- Sketch with twist-use lots of glitter
The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge -- Paper Piecing and/or Paper Piercing
Crafting With An Attitude Challenge 1 -- Free Style (Anything Goes)
D.R.S. Designs Challenge #164 -- Hot Trends-Button It (use buttons)
Little Red Wagon Challenge #279 -- Birds of a Feather
The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge TT030515 -- Anything Goes w/opt. twist-texture

Thanks so much for stopping by; hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods.

I'm fed up with winter, even though we only had one lot of snow and that only lasted a day!

  4. Great composition and nice crisp colours. Love the humour in this. I live on Prince Edward Island, Canada where we presently have up to 16 foot snowbanks. It's been fun and lots of lazy, can't-go-anywhere days, but enough is enough. :D

  29. I LOVE that card Pat! I went out this morning to walk my neighbours dog and got a shock, TONS of snow and it was almost gone! The dog I walk is small so we stuck to tire tracks in the middle of the road. I really can't complain because we don't get 1/10 the amount down East is getting this winter...but I'm protesting anyway!
