Happy Birthday!

Hi there!  Here's a card I made using the "priscillastyles" Man with Flowers and Cat image. (See post below which shows the entire image).  One of the things I like about digital images is their versatility.
In this case, I used Photoshop to "erase" the image surrounding the flowers.  I then selected the flowers; resized; and copied and pasted them directly into a text box, that I created in a Word document.  How fun and easy!  My sentiment is also computer-generated.
The card qualifies for the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge BlogAllsorts Challenge Blog Week #70 -- Use at least 3 punches -- I used EK Success circle, corner rounder and flourish punches , well as a small MS scallop circle punch.
cdacsc6 -- sketch challenge
cdacec6 -- embellishment challenge -- use flowers, brads, buttons or ribbon over your digital image
cdachsoc6 -- holiday/special occasion challenge -- create a project using some bling
I am so glad you were able to stop by and visit.  Thanks so much and have a great week.
Supplies:  Stamps - "priscillastyles" Man With Flowers and Cat, computer-generated text box and sentiment; Paper - PTI white, GP white, K&Co. DSP; Ink - computer, Copic for coloring; Accessories - EK Success punches: flourish, corner rounder and plain circle, MS small scallop circle punch, Spellbinders deckle edge Nestabilities, clear embossing powder mixed with dazzling diamonds, SU! ribbon; Sizzix SU! embossing folder and bling from my stash.

MMSC71 - Man with Flowers & Cat

Hi everyone!  We had a great time in Western Maryland and were even able to squeeze in a tour of the historic Falllingwater home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Mill Run, Pennsylvania.  It's always fun to get away, and good to be home too where I have internet access and can craft.
My card today uses the "priscillastyles" Man with Flowers and Cat image.  I colored my image with Copics and highlighted the bouquet of flowers with a Sakura clear star pen.  I used Sizzix dies (flower, daisies and flourishes #11)  to create my big flower.  Embellishments also include some yummy lace, ribbon, a MS circular tag and bling.  My starting point was the sketch, Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #71.  This card qualifies for the following challenges:
Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #71 (MMSC71) - sketch
Gingerloft Challenge -- First Challenge -- Anything Goes
Stampin' for the Weekend -- Challenge #46 -- Shabby or Vintage
Southern Girls Challenge -- First Challenge -- Anything Goes
The Shabby Tea Room -- Week 27 -- Fresh Living -  Nature and/or the color green (I used flowers & the color green.)
Thanks so much for visiting.  I can't wait to check out what everyone has been up to while we were away.  Have a fun week!
Supplies:  Stamps - "priscillastyles" Man with Flowers and Cat; Paper - Tim Holtz DSP, SU! pink pirouette, GP white, generic white base; Ink - Copic Markers for coloring, Sakura clear star pen; Accessories - Spellbinder die, Sizzix dies, lace from Walmart, PTI ribbon, MS circle tag, MM brad.

TT#73 -- Spots and/or Dots

Hi everyone!  Here's my take on the Twisted Thursday Challenge #73 -- to use spots or dots on your creation.  It has been a while since I've played the TT challenge, but I sure couldn't resist this one as dots are a favorite as is this adorable Halloween image (Masked Dog) from Shirley's 2 Girls.  I kept things simple... just colored my image with a mix of Copics and pencils w/gamsol and did a little paper piecing on the collar.  This was fast, fun and easy to create, which makes it  easy to mass produce. And no lumps or bumps, so it's postage friendly too!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.  We will be away for a few days exploring the mountains of Western Maryland.  See you when we get back, and thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:  Stamps - Shirley's 2 Girls; Paper - GP white, DCWV textured, SU! basic black, dotted -- Making Memories (?); Ink - computer, Copics and pencis w/gamsol for coloring; Accessories - SU! oval punches, MS bat punch, Spellbinders dies and dimensionals.

Get Well Worm

Good Morning, everyone!.  This cutie image is called Get Well Worm and is one of the new releases from the Doodle Pantry, and can be yours for free if you participate in the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge #9!   I also used the sentiments, included with this set, to create a background layer.  Although you can't see it in the photo, I went over  the little window and  worm with a VersaMarker and embossed with clear embossing powder.  IRL, the embossing really brought out the colors and added some shine.  Hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Enjoy your day!
Supplies:  Stamps & Sentiments - Get Well Worm by the Doodle Pantry; Paper - GP white, blue from Walmart, SU! DSP; Ink - computer, Copics for coloring, Antique Linen Distress Ink for sponging, Versamarker pen; Accessories - clear embossing powder, K&Co. flowers, MS border punch, EK Success corner rounder, pearls from my stash, and dimensionals.

I have two CDBC challenge cards to share with you today.  Here is my first  card for the challenge.  I used the new DP "Sledding Ants" set.  I really had fun coloring and embellishing this fun image.  I trimmed the little hats and earmuffs with fun flock; made snow with a mix of flower soft and glitter; and, of course, I had to add some bling and a yummy bow!

My next card showcases the new Doodle Pantry set called  "Holly and Juniper".  I used the the Holly image and one of the sentiments from this set to make a vintage-style card.  My holly image was colored with Copics.  I created a background collage of vintage images torn from a sheet of designer series paper.  The Santa image was punched from the same sheet of paper and popped up with dimensionals.  Finishing touches include lace, ribbon and a button.

For more information regarding the challenge, and samples of all the new Doodle Pantry images released today, please check out Laurie's Clearly Delightful Blog challenge post HERE.  Have a great holiday weekend and thanks for stopping by!  Sure hope you join in the fun!!

Rose Duo for a Wedding

Just a quick post before bedtime.  My pre-colored Rose Duo image from Doodle Pantry came to the rescue today as I needed to get a wedding card in the mail like yesterday!   Just a clean and simple design with added dimension by popping up the flower heads and some of the leaves with dimensionals.  Not the best of photos, but it looks very nice IRL.
Good night, everyone!  Off to bed before I turn into a pumpkin...

Bookworm2

Hi everyone!  Sorry I've been MIA.  Last week was a crazy week.  I still have lots to catch up on, but I finally took some time to play, and wanted to share a card I made for my friend, Koral... Koral loves to garden and I love to make cards.  We agreed to do a swap... her delicious, homegrown tomatoes for some handmade cards for her grandchildren.   I think I got the best of the deal!  YUM!
I really had fun with this one; I used a Doodle Pantry image called Bookworm 2.  I printed my image and sentiment on a piece of Stephanie Fizer cloud digi paper.  Then I layered on some SU! pear pizzaz to create my 'grass', before adding my paper-pieced bookworm.  I added lots of fun embellishments -- clouds made with my PTI die, flower soft, Recollections white epoxy dots and CTMH liquid glass to the eyeglasses.  I finished it off with some SU bashful blue ribbon and a ribbon flower I made and have been hoarding in my stash.  Hope Koral likes it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week!
Supplies:  Stamps - Bookworm 2 by Doodle Pantry; Paper - SU! bashful blue, pear pizzaz, GP white, Stephanie Fizer digi paper from MFT, Making Memories dotted DSP; Ink - computer, Copics for adding some color to my bookworm; Accessories - Spellbinder Nestabilities dies, PTI border and cloud dies, Flower Soft, Recollections epoxy dots, Sizzix EF, dazzling diamonds, dimensionals, EK Success corner rounder punch, SU! bashful blue ribbon and a ribbon flower I made myself.

Mini Roses

Hello everyone!  This card was a pleasure to create; it came out just like I envisioned it in my head.  Don't you love when that happens?
I used the  Midnight Madness sketch #67 (MMSC67) as my starting point... What a dream to work with!
Now on to the image... This week's Speedy-the-Cat's Friends Challenge #16 is "Think Flowers".  Now how easy is that, especially since I have been dying to play with my Mini Roses image from the Doodle Pantry. I also added a large silk flower to the ribbon.
The final element I added to my creation was inspired by the One Stitch at a Time Challenge #26 -- use a punch or punches on your creation.  To add balance to my design, I stacked 3 corners (punched out with my handy-dandy corner punch).  I am really happy with how this came out.  Hope you like it too!
I am so glad you were able to visit today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:  Stamps - Mini Roses by the Doodle Pantry; Paper - GP white, K&Co. DSP, SU! crumb cake (kraft), Recollection shimmery cardstock in a shade of blueish-green, generic ivory base; Ink - Copic Markers for coloring, Gold Spica Marker for accenting the flowers and flower pot; Accessories - EK Success corner punch, SU! kraft corduroy brads, silk flower from Mike's, CTMC liquid glass which I applied to the individual flowers, Spellbinders dies, dimensionals and ribbon from my stash that I have had forever.

Birdie on a Wire - Precolored

Oh my goodness,  Laurie, owner and illustrator of the Doodle Pantry, just added a line of pre-colored digital images to her store. What a great idea, Laurie!   The pre-colored image I used today is from the set called Birdie on a Wire Pre-colored -- there are 3 pre-colored little birdies included in the set.  (Just click on the pre-colored digital images link above, to go to the page.)  Laurie has even included a "freebie" pre-colored froggie to let you give this new line a try before you buy!  Now, how cool is that!
For my card today, I decided to make a winter card using the little cardinal from the Birdie on a Wire set  Talk about quick and easy!  It took me longer to go through my stash of DSP than it did to make this card.  I think pre-colored images are perfect for those occasions when you need a quick card, or need to mass produce a bunch of cards, particularly during the holidays when we are usually stressed out trying to do about a zillion things.
I give a thumbs up to this new line, and can't wait to see what other pre-colored images Laurie will be adding to the store.
Have a fun day and thanks for visiting!!

Butterflies

Hi everyone!  My card today combines 3 challenges:  the Midnight Madness sketch #66 (MMSC66)  - sketch; Digital Tuesday Challenge (DTC#71) - to use butterflies and/or lace; and the SCS Color Challenge (CC282) -- blushing bride, riding hood red, and early espresso.
My main panel was printed with the "priscillastyles" butterfly image on GP white.  Both my image panel and background DSP were crumbled before sponging with riding hood red, as well as antique linen and corduroy distress inks.  What a fun technique!  I layered the image panel with blushing bride and riding hood red before adding the lace and adhering to the card base with dimensionals.  Really had fun playing today, but I sure wish I had a set of triangular dies... it would have made things a lot easier!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies: Stamps - "priscillastyles" butterfly; Paper - SU! riding hood red, early espresso, blushing bride, Tim Holtz DSP, GW white, generic ivory; Ink - SU! riding hood red, Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen & brushed corduroy for sponging, Copic Markers & pencils with gamsol for coloring; Accessories - Cuttlebug corner die, Sizzix EF, SU! embossllt butterflies die, Offray lace, pearls from my stash, and dimensionals.

Thank You, Kathy!

Good Morning!  Look what Kathy sent me -- thank you, my friend!  For this award, I am suppose to write 3 things I love about myself, post a picture I love and pass this award on to 3 people.
I do love being retired... It's like everyday is a Saturday!  I do love (and feel blessed) to have such a wonderful, supportive family and a network of fabulous friends.  Next, I love to stamp, make cards and I love to blog.  I have always loved to craft, but I must say I have gotten the most pleasure from card making and blogging...  the best part of these hobbies are the smiles that handmade cards give to others, and the talented friends I have made in the stamping/blogging community.
I pass this award to:

I love this picture.  It was taken when on a trip to Colonial Williamsburg during the Christmas season.  All of the buildings were decorated with handmade decorations made out of natural materials.
Have a happy weekend, everyone!

Sunflower Birthday

Hi All!  Today I challenged myself to see if I could combine more than 2 challenges into one card.  With the help of the Daily DareI actually combined 4 challenges into one card, which is a first for me!
I used this week's awesome Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 65 (MMSC65) which I combined with the Color Challenge on CDAC (cdaccc3) -- to use green, yellow and cream.
The Digital Tuesday Challenge #70 is to combine images from 2 different companies into one card -- I  combined the "priscillastyles" sunflower single from her Sunflower Set as my focal image (wish the clear embossing with dazzling diamonds was more visible in the photo); and the background paper was created using the Happy Birthday Digital Stamp from KLM Digital Designs & Clear Stamps.
The Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #10  -- to create a summer birthday card also qualifies.  For me, summer and sunflowers just seem to go together!  What do you think?
Have a great day.  Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods!
Supplies:  Stamps - "priscillastyles"  - sunflower single from her sunflower set, KLM digital Designs & Clear Stamps - Happy Birthday Digital Stamp; Paper -  SU! daffodil delight, old olive, Hammermill ivory;  Ink -  computer, VersaMark pen, Copic Markers, pencils w/gamsol; Accessories:  Mike's ribbon, clear embossing powder mixed with dazzling diamonds, MS border punch, Spellbinder dies, Sizzix embossing folder, dimensionals, Recollections gold embellishments.
