Purse Parfait

Hi everyone, Sorry I've been MIA, been under the weather with a nasty cold, and haven't  don't much in the way of crafting.  Finally got to play with Doodle Pantry's new Purse Parfait set.  There's a great selection of purses and sentiments in the set... I swear I wish I had one of each style IRL.  I grouped three of the styles together and added some paper-piecing and coloring to the first and third purses.  I also cut out an extra flower and popped it up with dimensionals on the third purse.  The beauty in the middle is pre-colored and I only added some clear glaze to the white parts.  Although not noticeable in the photo, all hardware was highlighted with a clear star pen, giving the hardware a nice shine .  I also couldn't resist adding some bling to the centers of 2 of the purses.

I will be entering this card is the following challenges:
C.R.A.F.T Challenge 249 -- Mother's Day/Female
Outlawz Paper a la Mode Challenge PAM03082014 -- Off the Wall  I used a vellum overlay which i haven't done in ages.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Carousel Pig

Happy March!  I'm so glad to say goodbye to February... I've had it with all the snow, rain, and ice.  Hopefully, the month of March will be kinder.  Today is release day at Doodle Pantry, and I have a whimsical card to share which showcases  one of the new sets, Carousel Pig.

Carousel Pig is also the featured product for Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 44 which starts  today on the Doodle Pantry blog at 11:30 AM.  All  participants in the challenge that use a Doodle Pantry image (not just a sentiment) will be emailed this set for free.  Here's a preview:

Now about my card, I used the outline image from the set and dressed her up with digital papers from the set as well as bright happy colors, flowers and ribbon.  Coloring with done with Copics.  I also used one of the digi papers from another new set, Grunge Wood Mini Digi Paper 4 Pack, to paper-piece the pole and seat.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
The Squirrel and the Fox -- Something Spooled (I used ribbon)
Crafting from the Heart Challenge 7 -- Anything Goes/Use Flowers

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great weekend and Happy Crafting!

Winter Birthday

Morning everyone,  Here's my take on Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 249, sponsored by Doodle Pantry.  The challenge photo inspired me to make a birthday card for my great nephew who will turn a year old on March 1.  I combined two Doodle Pantry sets,  A Tweet Hello and Winter Birthday, to create my birdie cupcake.  The sentiment is from another DP set, Birdie Birthday Color Plus.  After  paper piecing the cupcake's liner and candle, I added lots of glitter to the icing, colored the flame with Copics, and sponged around the flame with Daffodil Delight ink to create the glow.  I also got to play with some new dies from Taylored Expressions.  Nothing like some new toys to get your mojo working!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Cards Galore Encore Challenge #2 -- Add a gem, glitter, Candy or any bling you fancy (I used lots of glitter.)
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper February Challenge -- Anything goes with patterned paper

Valentine for Someone Special

Happy start to a new week, everyone!  I created this card for the Love Challenge at The Squirrel and The Fox, which is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry.  Although you may find this an unusual card for Valentine's Day, I think it's a perfect fit for my niece as she's lovin' every minute of being a new grandmother.  She absolutely adores darling little Miles.

The images, sentiment and patterned digi paper I used to create this card are a combination of these Doodle Pantry sets:
The rocker with pillow and throw as well as the digi paper and sentiment are from the Quiet Rocking Chair set.  I then merged the teddy bear from the Vintage Bear COLOR plus set on top of the rocker.  The rocker was paper-pieced and I also added some shading and a bit of coloring to the image.  The heart die cuts were mounted to the card with dimensionals and overlap the edge of the card.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Girls Challenge 11 -- Anything Goes
Lexi Creations Challenge 109 -- Valentine's Day/Love
Casual Friday CFC127 -- Create a CAS product with an element that extends past the edge.
Digi Haven Happy Valentine's Day Challenge -- Valentine's Day - love/cherish/adore
Allsorts Challenge Week 245 -- Colors beginning with "B"  -- I used blues and browns.

Hope everyone has a great week and a very happy Valentine's Day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Heart Sheep and Wagon Hellos

Hi All!  Valentine's Day is almost here, and I'm back today to share another Valentine's Day card.

The image on my card is a combination of 2 digital sets by Doodle Pantry -- Heart Sheep and Wagon Hellos 1, which I merged in a Microsoft Word document.  The elements I merged together are the pre-colored .png heart sheep from the Heart Sheep set; the pre-colored .png wagon front from Wagon Hellos 1; and a .png sentiment from Heart Sheep.

The starting point of my design is Papertake Weekly Challenge -- Sketchie Free For All.  I used Sketch #86.

Pretty Peacock

Good Morning everyone!  I am so happy February is here... Not only are we another month closer to Spring, but Doodle Pantry has posted a fabulous new release!

Today I am sharing a beautiful new set called Pretty Peacock. For my card, I used one of the outline images and colored the image with Irojiten colored pencils.  Colors were blended with a Prismacolor blender pencil.  Although the pattern is not visible in the photo, the yellow part of the feathers is actually patterned digi paper.  To add a vintage feel, I used distress ink to sponge the background; added some beautiful gold embroidered paper; and a gold bow with bling.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks 4CCC #179 -- Anything Goes
Creative Moments Challenge 35 -- Anything Goes/Add Some Sparkle

So Sweet Mice

Hi everyone!  Today starts a new challenge at Pile It On which is being sponsored by Doodle Pantry.  The theme for this week's PIO Challenge #4 is animals.  For my card, I used a fun image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry's So Sweet Mice.  I used various Doodle Pantry digi papers to paper piece the image digitally.  Coloring was done with Irojiten pencils and Copics markers.  I used a Taylored Expressions banner die to create my banner and Spellbinders dies to frame the image and sentiment.  This card was a lot of fun to create and I'm happy with how it turned out.  Hope you like it too!

Stella Love -- Stupid Cupid

Hi All!  Above is my take on Stella Says Sketch Challenge 201.  I used Bugaboo's fun Stella Love -- Stupid Cupid set.  Here's a photo of the sentiment that also comes with the set and which I used on the inside of the card:

The image was colored with Copics and I also did some digital paper piecing.  I added some punched hearts, lots of bling, and glazed and glittered Stella's wings.  I think this image is a hoot and hope my hubby will get a kick out of it.

Hope everyone has a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

Basket of Roses

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  it's a dreary day here with fog and rain, and thought some flowers would cheer things up. The image with sentiment was created by merging elements from 3 different Doodle Pantry sets -- Rose Bloom, Old Basket, and Rounded Wishes -- which is free with purchase.

I love my new flip it die from Stampin' Up; and used it to die cut the card's base out of double-sided DSP.   I added layers of embossed yellow cardstock, a pre-cut MS embossed border, ribbon with flowers; and this card was done quick as a wink.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cutting Diva's Challenge #148 -- Out with the old, In with the New (new flip it die; old MS border, ribbon and flowers)
Crafting by Designs Challenge -- Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

In addition, this set also includes outline images; and I used the outline heart tree image to make my card.  Coloring was done with Irojiten colored pencils, and I paper-pieced the tree's trunk and branches digitally.  Although not visible in the photo, all the hearts were glazed and sprinkled with glittered,  I just love this happy set.  I think it's perfect for sending smiles to just about anyone.

Mr. Snowman

Warm winter wishes, everyone!   I know many have been dealing with snow, record cold temps and freezing rain, including our area.  When I saw this cutie freebie image from A Day for Daisies, it certainly made me smile and brightened my day even though I'm not a cold weather fan.  I colored the image with Copics and Irojiten pencils, and added some digital paper piecing. Embellishments include lots of glitter, bling and 'flower soft' snow and, of course, snowflakes.  My sentiment and digital snowflake papers are from Doodle Pantry sets.
