Happy August, everyone! Today is release day at Doodle Pantry, and I am thrilled to share the cards I made showcasing the new Holly Stag set. This set has everything you need for easy Christmas crafting -- colored and outline images; digital papers and sentiments; as well as a bonus PDF file that contains 4 pre-designed card fronts and 2 gift tags!
For the card pictured above, I used the outline image which I colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also added some shading with Copics. Although it is hard to see in the photo, I added lots of glitter to the stag and holly leaves. Besides all the glitter, finishing touches include ribbon, red rhinestones, and the Spirelli Technique.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Sketches by Carly #61 -- sketch
A Gem of a Challenge 51-- Kraft at Christmas (use kraft paper)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 83 -- Tie a ribbon
Hiding in my Craft Room #56 -- Christmas in July
Sweet Stampin' Challenge -- Christmas in July
Crafty Cat Challenge 143 -- All that Glitters
Critter Sketch Challenge #126 -- Anything Goes
Next, I used one of the pre-designed card fronts from the bonus Holly Stag PDF file. This card literally only took minutes to make.
I just added some layering and a strip of red cardstock with a brad to make it my own. Definitely will be making more of these... I think I may even be able to get my holiday cards mailed early this year!
So glad you were able to stop by... Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting.
